Public Betting Trends

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Colts are 1.5-point favorites to beat the Titans. The total, meanwhile, sits at 49.5 points. As of this writing, 57% of the public betting tickets are on the Titans to cover the point spread.

Tennessee Titans

Marcus Mariota completed 16-of-24 passes for 228 yards and two touchdowns in the Titans' Week 10 win over the Patriots. He added a 21-yard reception and two carries for 21 yards on the ground. Mariota has now been highly efficient in three straight games, the first a one-point loss to the Chargers in a game the Titans very nearly won, and the last two upset victories over Dallas and New England. Mariota is squarely in the QB1 crosshairs ahead of a potential Week 11 shootout at Indy's Lucas Oil Stadium.

Indianapolis Colts

Andrew Luck completed 21-of-29 passes for 285 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception in the Colts' Week 10 win over the Jaguars. Luck’s first touchdown could not have been much easier. The Jaguars just lost Eric Ebron on the opening drive, and Luck hit him for an easy 53-yard score. Jacksonville kept leaving pass catchers wide open after that, and Luck kept punishing them, hitting Jack Doyle for 20 yards, T.Y. Hilton for 35, and Mo Alie-Cox for 27 all before the end of the first quarter. He kept things going in the second, connecting with an again wide-open Ebron for a 12-yard touchdown before finding Alie-Cox for his third score of the half. Things ground to a halt in the second half, however. Luck’s interception was not his fault – it bounced off Alie-Cox – but he struggled to move the offense, allowing the Jaguars back into the game. Luckily for him, the defense stepped up late, and the Colts held on. Luck faces another divisional test next week when the Titans come to town. He will be a solid QB1 in that matchup.

Prediction

Given the Titans’ defensive prowess and the Colts ability to run the ball, this total feels high. The under is 10-3 in the last 13 meetings between these two teams in Indianapolis, is 4-1 in the Titans’ last five games overall and is 5-0 in Tennessee’s last five division games. On the other side, the under is 8-3 in the Colts’ last 11 games against the rest of the AFC South, is 12-5 in their last 17 home games and is 5-1 in their last six games played in the month of November.
