Public Betting Trends

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Giants are 1.5-point favorites to beat the Bucs. The total, meanwhile, sits at 53 points. As of this writing, 59% of the public betting tickets are on the Giants to cover the point spread.

Tampa Bay Bucs

Ryan Fitzpatrick will remain the Bucs' starter for Week 11 against the Giants. Fitz had another turnover-marred debacle in Sunday's loss to the Redskins, but the Bucs believe he gives them their best chance to win. They may be right. The Bucs do not want to risk injury to Jameis Winston, whose 2019 team option is guaranteed for injury only. Fitz will have to go all the way off the rails for Winston to be re-inserted, which, let's be honest, is not a far-fetched scenario.

New York Giants

Eli Manning completed 19-of-31 passes for 188 yards and three touchdowns in the Giants' 27-23, Week 10 win over the 49ers on Monday night. The yards-per-attempt (6.1) is pretty hideous, but Manning got the job done with a big second half. He had 63 yards on 15 attempts before the break, but found Odell Beckham and Sterling Shepard for touchdowns in the third and fourth quarters after the Giants fell behind 20-10. Beckham caught two of Manning's three scores, totaling 4-73-2 on 11 targets. Shepard's three-yarder came with 53 second left to give the G-Men a 27-23 lead. The Giants will head back home to face the Bucs in Week 11. It's a prime matchup for Eli, but he's still nothing more than a mid-range QB2.

NFL Betting Trends

Tampa Bay

The over is 8-1 in the last nine games after accumulating more than 250 yards passing in their previous game.

New York

The under is 5-1 in the Giants’ last six games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous contest.

Prediction

The Bucs have been a great over team all season but they generated over 500 yards of total offense last week and turned it into a single field goal in a loss to the Redskins. This offense could finally be ready to crash and while the Tampa defense has been atrocious this year, Eli has been a better quarterback on the road than at home in 2018. With the under cashing in seven of the previous 10 meetings between these two teams, the under has good value.
