New York has won three of its last four meetings with the 49ers, but the 49ers have covered the spread in two straight encounters. San Francisco is coming off a 20-10 loss at home to the Cardinals last week to fall to 0-9 on the season. The 49ers are 4-5 against the spread this season, failing to cover in their last three games. Neither team has much momentum, but the Giants have actually played respectably on the road. Their lone win came at Denver by 13 points and they also competed at Philadelphia and Tampa as well. San Francisco just can’t move the ball consistently with Beathard under center. He has struggled a great deal and I expect the Giants defense to step up today after being embarrassed last week.
