Saints vs. Bengals Total Prediction
Fresh off their back-and-forth shootout with the Rams, will the Saints play in another high-scoring affair Sunday when they visit the Bengals at 1:00 p.m. ET?
Game Snapshot
255 New Orleans Saints at 256 Cincinnati Bengals
1:10 p.m. ET, Sunday, November 11
Paul Brown Stadium, Cincinnati, Ohio
Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Saints are 5.5-point favorites to beat the Bengals. The total, meanwhile, sits at 54 points. As of this writing, 65% of the public betting tickets are on the Saints to cover the point spread.
New Orleans Saints
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports Dez Bryant is not expected to play against the Bengals in Week 10. Dez only got in two practices this week after signing on Wednesday and the Saints are asking him to lose at least five pounds while he works back into playing shape. With Bryant unlikely to debut, expect Tre'Quan Smith to work in two-wide sets opposite Michael Thomas Sunday at Cincinnati.
Cincinnati Bengals
Bengals ruled out CB Darqueze Dennard (shoulder) for Week 10 against the Saints. LBs Vontaze Burfict (hip) and Nick Vigil (knee) will also sit. The Bengals' defense was already struggling before these injuries. It will be a tall task for them to slow down the Saints on Sunday.
NFL Betting Trends
New Orleans
The over is 11-5 in the Saints’ last 16 games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous game.
Cincinnati
The under is 17-5 in the Bengals’ last 22 games played in the month of November.
Prediction
The Bengals are near the bottom of the league in defensive scoring so the Saints are going to put up points on Sunday. There’s no debate. That said, for the over to cash for bettors, are we sure the Bengals can match the Saints like the Rams did a week ago in New Orleans? I have my doubts, especially with A.J. Green out due to a toe injury. The Saints also have an excellent run defense so even if Cincinnati wanted to rely on its running game with Green sidelined, that’s going to be difficult as well. The under is 17-5 in the Bengals’ last 22 games in November and 6-2 in the Saints’ last eight games after scoring more than 30 points in their previous game.
