This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our NFL Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

Chargers rolling

The Chargers increased their win streak to five games last week with a 25-17 win at Seattle. Los Angeles is now 6-2 overall, 4-4 against the spread and 5-3 with the over. The Chargers have hit the under in two straight and three of their last four.

Los Angeles is moving the ball quite well, averaging 27.5 points and 409.4 yards per game. Philip Rivers has thrown or 2,236 yards and 19 touchdowns with just three interceptions as he makes a push for the MVP race. Keenan Allen has been his top receiver with 47 catches for 630 yards and a score. Running back Melvin Gordon also has been strong, rushing for 579 yards and seven touchdowns while catching 31 passes for 289 yards and three scores. Defensively, the Chargers are giving up 22.5 points and 378.8 yards per game. They have 22 sacks and have forced 12 turnovers.

Raiders a disaster

The Oakland Raiders have really hit a low, losing four straight following a 34-3 loss at San Francisco in Week 9. They have lost all four by at least 14 points, including a 26-10 loss to the Chargers on Oct. 7. Oakland is now 1-7 overall, 2-6 against the spread and 5-3 with the under. The Raiders have hit the under in three of their last four.

Oakland is giving up 31.5 points and 413.6 yards per game on defense this season. They haven’t been able to stop anyone as of late and lack any semblance of a pass rush. The unit has just seven sacks and have forced only six turnovers this year. Offensively, Oakland is putting up 17.6 points and 370.8 yards per game. Derek Carr has thrown or 2,198 yards and 10 touchdowns with eight interceptions. He also has been sacked 24 times. Tight end Jared Cook is his leading receiver after the team traded Amari Cooper to the Cowboys. Cook has 38 catches for 494 yards and three scores. Leading rusher Marshawn Lynch is out indefinitely with a groin injury. He has rushed for 376 yards this season.

NFL Betting Trends

Los Angeles

The Chargers are 7-3 with the under in their last 10 road games and in 12 of their last 16 conference games.

Oakland

The Raiders have hit the under in 14 of their last 17 division games and in 12 of their last 15 games on grass.

Prediction:

The Raiders can’t stop anyone right now, so I would expect the Chargers to be able to score plenty of points. The issue with such high of a total is the Raiders are going to need to score as well and I think that is where the problems will occur. Oakland hasn’t shown a lot of ability to score consistently and they couldn’t do anything against the 49ers, who aren’t a great defensive team. The Raiders look like they have quit, so it’s hard for me to believe they will put up much of a fight to help the over hit.
