Baltimore Ravens Fantasy Spin
Lamar Jackson completed 17-of-23 passes for 161 yards and a touchdown and rushed 16 times for 61 yards and two touchdowns in the Ravens' Week 9 win over the Patriots. Jackson had his way with the Patriots, scoring on an option run on the opening drive. He got his second rushing TD on a goal-line sneak where his offensive linemen carried him in the end-zone. Jackson only had six incompletions, but didn’t do much in the pass game, with an easy red-zone throw to TE Nick Boyle his only passing touchdown. The win knocked off the undefeated Patriots and puts Baltimore in the driver seat in the AFC North. Jackson is on pace for just 3,622 yards, but with a 24:10 TD/INT ratio. He’s also on pace for 1,274 rushing yards, though we could see some regression with a tougher second-half schedule.
Cincinnati Fantasy Spin
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports A.J. Green suffered a setback to his injured ankle and is now out indefinitely. Green had already been ruled out for Sunday's home matchup against Baltimore after experiencing renewed swelling in his surgically-repaired left ankle. Now it's anyone's guess when we might see the ninth-year receiver back in uniform. "Right now, my ankle is saying it's too much," said Green, who implied he may have overexerted himself during Monday's practice session. "That's when you gotta back off." With little to play for, the 0-8 Bengals may opt to throw in the towel by placing Green on injured reserve, something they probably should have done two months ago. With Green shelved indefinitely, Cincinnati will move forward with Tyler Boyd, Auden Tate and Alex Erickson operating in three-wide sets.
NFL Betting Trends
Baltimore
The over is 4-1 in the Ravens’ last five divisional games and has cashed in five of their last six conference matchups as well.
Cincinnati
The over is 5-2-1 in the Bengals’ last eight home games and is 5-1 in their last six games coming off a loss.
Prediction
The Bengals benched Andy Dalton during their bye week and will now turn to fourth-round rookie Ryan Finley. He’s taking on a Ravens team that didn’t have a ton of sacks entering Week 9 last week, but then harassed Tom Brady most of Sunday night in Baltimore. Ultimately, I just don’t trust the Bengals to score enough to push the final score over the threshold, even though Cincinnati’s defense is terrible. And with the way the Ravens run the football, the clock should be moving constantly, leading to few possessions overall and limited scoring.
NFL Week 10 Prediction: Ravens/Bengals UNDER 44.5
