Chargers on a roll
The Chargers are coming off a bye following a 20-19 win over the Titans in London two weeks ago. Los Angeles has won four straight to move to 5-2 on the season. The Chargers are also 3-4 against the spread and 5-2 with the over. Though, they have hit the under in two of their last three.
Los Angeles is putting up 27.9 points and 412.4 yards per game on offense this year behind a great passing attack. Philip Rivers is having an MVP-type year, throwing for 2,008 yards and 17 touchdowns with only three interceptions. Melvin Gordon has rushed for 466 yards and six touchdowns while catching 30 passes for 279 yards and three scores. Defensively, the Chargers are allowing 23.3 points and 377.3 yards per game. They are still awaiting for Joey Bosa to join the unit. He is doubtful to debut this year due to his foot injury, but getting closer to the field.
Seahawks heating up
The Seahawks are coming off a 28-14 win at Detroit for their second straight win and fourth win in five games. Seattle has improved to 4-3 on the season, 4-2-1 against the spread and 5-2 with the under. Seattle has hit the under in two straight.
Seattle is proving to be pretty stout on defense this season, as the Seahawks are giving up just 18.7 points and 344 yards per game. Offensively, the Seahawks are putting up 24.4 points and 357 yards per game. Russell Wilson isn’t putting up major numbers, but doing a good job of managing the games. Wilson has thrown for 1,556 yards and 16 touchdowns with just four interceptions. He is completing 66 percent of his passes. Chris Carson has rushed for 457 yards and two touchdowns while Tyler Lockett has 25 catches for 394 yards and six touchdowns.
NFL Betting Trends
Los Angeles
The Chargers have hit the under in four of their last five games on fieldturf and they are 15-5-1 with the under in their last 21 games following a bye.
Seattle
The Seahawks have hit the under in five of their last six games overall and in five of their last six games in November.
Prediction:
This game has potential for a lot of points, but I think the under will hit. Seattle is going to carry a similar game plan to what it did last week and that is ball control on offense and chipping away with its run game. The Seahawks executed a perfect game plan against the Lions and they can do that against this average Chargers defense. That will take Los Angeles out of its offensive flow and force Rivers to being more aggressive than he should be.
NFL Prediction: Chargers/Seahawks Under 48
