NFL Week 8 Betting Odds Report

NFL Week 8 Point Spreads & Totals, 10/22/18 Betting Odds

The betting odds for Week 8 of the NFL are out and with that, here’s an early look at the intriguing matchups, primetime games and more.

Biggest Early Line Movement

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the 6-1 Chiefs are 10-point favorites to beat the visiting Broncos, who opened as 8.5-point road underdogs.. The total, meanwhile, sits at 55.5 points. As of this writing, 81% of the public betting tickets are on the Chiefs to cover the point spread.

Biggest Point Spread

The New England Patriots travel to Buffalo on Monday night to take on the hapless Bills at 8:15 p.m. ET. No surprise, the Patriots opened as massive favorites at -13 but the line has already climbed to 13.5. The total for this game is low, however, sitting at 44.5. It’s not known if rookie quarterback Josh Allen will suit up for Buffalo.

Smallest Spread

The Washington Redskins captured sole possession of first place in the NFC East with a win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. The Redskins will have an opportunity to beat another division opponent on Sunday when they take on the New York Giants at 1:00 p.m. ET. Along with the Ravens, who are 1-point road favorites to beat the Panthers, the Redskins-Giants line is the lowest for Week 7 at Washington -1. The total has not been posted for that matchup yet, but the Baltimore-Carolina total sits at 43.5.

Highest Total

Believe it or not, the highest total this week does not involve the Chiefs. The over/under in the Packers-Rams game in Los Angeles opened at 57 and is now down to 56.5. It was one of six games with totals sitting in the 50s, including Denver-Kansas City (55.5), Tampa Bay-Cincinnati (53.5), New Orleans-Minnesota (52.5), Indianapolis-Oakland (51), and Cleveland-Pittsburgh (50.5).

Lowest Total

The Eagles and Jaguars will play in London on Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. ET and with Jacksonville struggling offensively, this is the lowest total on the Week 8 board at 41 points. The Eagles are also coming off a loss Sunday in which they blew a 17-point second-half lead. Philly scored just 17 points in the loss.
