Giants vs. Broncos Prediction
Will the Broncos cover the spread as double-digit favorites tonight when they host the Giants at 8:30PM ET for Sunday Night Football?
The Odds: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the over/under sits at 39 points after hitting the board at 41 earlier this week. The Broncos, meanwhile, opened as 9-point home favorites but the line has jumped to 12 at the majority of online sports books. Not surprisingly, Denver is receiving a lot of love at the betting window, as over 70% of public bettors are laying the points with the Broncos.
New York Giants: The Giants have been a horrible bet in this series, failing to cover in four of their last four games against the Broncos. They’re also just 2-9-2 against the spread in their last 13 road games when facing a team with a winning home record and are 0-4 at the betting window in their last four games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous game.
Denver Broncos: The Broncos are 3-0-1 against the spread in their last four home games, are 4-1 against the number in their last five games versus a team with a losing record, and are 10-4 at the betting window in their last 14 games played in October. They’re also 14-6-1 against the spread in their last 21 games coming off a bye week.
WHO COVERS: I don’t know how the Giants are going to score. They have no running game, their top three receivers are out, and Eli Manning has been atrocious behind a bad offensive line. The Giants should hang defensively for a while but eventually the dam will burst and the Broncos will pull away in the second half. It’ll be close, but this feels like a 20-7 game.
