Public Betting Trends

According to our NFL Football Public Betting Chart page, the 49ers are receiving 54% of the betting tickets from online sportsbooks.

San Francisco 49ers Fantasy Spin

49ers RT Mike McGlinchey (knee) will be out for 4-6 weeks. Already short standout LT Joe Staley (leg), McGlinchey's absence for the next month is a huge blow to an offense currently running at the league's highest rate (57%). Sixth-round rookie Justin Skule will remain at left tackle while former AAF linemen Dan Brunskill starts on the right side. The efficiency of San Francisco's offense sans both starting tackles and FB Kyle Juszczyk (knee) is a legitimate question mark moving forward. Expect tight ends Ross Dwelley and, at times, George Kittle to play from the backfield as extra blockers.

Los Angeles Rams Fantasy Spin

Brandin Cooks has been placed in the concussion protocol. This doesn't come as a surprise after Cooks didn't return in Week 5. Cooks has a few extra days with the Rams playing on Thursday night, but this puts his Week 6 status in question. Josh Reynolds would see an expanded role if Cooks can't get cleared.

NFL Betting Trends

San Francisco

The over is 5-1 in the Niners’ last six road games when facing an opponent with a winning home record.

Los Angeles

The under is 4-1 in the Rams’ last five games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous contest.

Prediction

The over has been highly profitable in recent meetings between these two teams, cashing in four of the last five meetings overall and going 5-1 in the last six meetings when the Rams are the host team. The over is also 5-2 in the 49ers’ last seven divisional games, is 7-3 in their last 10 games coming off a win and is 7-2 in their last nine games when facing an opponent with a winning record. On the other side, the over has cashed in six of the Rams’ last eight home games, is 5-2 in their last seven conference matchups and is 7-3 in their last 10 games versus divisional rivals.

NFL Week 6 Prediction: 49ers/Rams OVER 50.5
