Giants vs. Saints Spread Prediction
The New York Giants are coming off their first victory of the year and are a home dog on Sunday versus the New Orleans Saints. Will Big Blue pick up their second straight victory or are the Saints the better bet?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Saints are 3-point favorites to beat the Giants. The total, meanwhile, sits at 52.5 points. As of this writing, 56% of the public betting tickets are on the Saints to cover the point spread.
New Orleans Saints Fantasy News & Notes
Alvin Kamara (knee) wasn't listed on the Saints' final injury report for Week 4 against the Giants. Kamara was limited Friday after being a full participant at Thursday's practice, though his light workload today was probably just for maintenance purposes. The reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year saw an exhausting 31 touches in last week's win over the Falcons and should be in for another huge game Sunday in East Rutherford.
New York Giants Fantasy News & Notes
Olivier Vernon (ankle) is out for Week 4 against the Saints. Vernon returned to limited practices this week and seems to be getting closer, but he's yet to play this season. CB Eli Apple (groin) is also out Sunday.
NFL Betting Trends
New Orleans
The Saints are just 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games played in the month of September.
New York
The Giants are 2-6 against the spread in their last eight games played in September, so neither of these teams have been great ATS in this month.
Prediction
There’s always value in taking the home dog but I don’t like the Giants in this spot. They won’t have Vernon again and they’ll be without Eli Apple for the second straight week (which means burnable B.W. Webb will start opposite Janoris Jenkins). Drew Brees is going to shred this New York defense. So, can Eli Manning and Co. hang? Sure, the Saints defense is off to a brutal start but this is such a small number that I’m backing New Orleans. It’ll be close early, but I expect the Saints to win the fourth quarter and come up with the cover.
