Eagles vs. Colts Spread Prediction
The Philadelphia Eagles will get their starting quarterback back on Sunday when Carson Wentz returns to face the Indianapolis Colts at 1:00 p.m. ET. With Wentz likely to need a game to shake off the rust, do the Colts offer bettors some value as an underdog?
Game Snapshot
461 Indianapolis Colts at 462 Philadelphia Eagles

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Eagles are 7-point favorites to beat the Colts. The total, meanwhile, sits at 46 points. As of this writing, 56% of the public betting tickets are on the Eagles to cover the point spread.
Indianapolis Colts
Colts LT Anthony Castonzo (hamstring) is out for Week 3 against the Eagles. Marlon Mack (hamstring, foot) and Jack Doyle (hip) were also ruled out. Le'Raven Clark is expected to continue filling-in for Castonzo until the Colts' starting tackle is fully healthy. Eric Ebron and Jordan Wilkins will also be counted on in Week 3 given the usage both Mack and Doyle have shored up to start the year. Ebron remains the most intriguing for fantasy purposes.
Philadelphia Eagles
Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) is out for Week 3 against the Colts. As expected. It's a positive note that Jeffery was questionable, but it was completely unrealistic he would take part in the Eagles' Week 3 matchup versus Indy. Jeffery hasn't even been cleared for contact yet. With Mike Wallace (knee), Jay Ajayi (back), and Darren Sproles (hamstring) also out, the Eagles are expected to lean on Corey Clement (quad, questionable), Nelson Agholor, and Zach Ertz. Jordan Matthews should additionally make his 2018 debut with Philadelphia and play limited snaps in the slot.
NFL Betting Trends
Indianapolis
The Colts are 1-7 against the spread in their last eight games coming off a win.
Philadelphia
The Eagles have covered the spread in eight of their last 10 home games.
Prediction
As previously mentioned, it’s likely that Wentz will need a game to shake off the rust, as Andrew Luck did in Week 1 this season. This Eagles team hasn’t looked sharp in their two games thus far, including in their season-opener when they were fortunate enough to get a win over the Falcons. This point spread is likely based on Wentz returning but with him not 100%, I see plenty of value in taking the Colts and the points coming off a nice road win a week ago in D.C.
