Josh Allen completed 33-of-46 passes for 312 yards and two touchdowns in the Bills' 27-17, Week 1 win over the Jets, adding 14 carries for 57 yards, one touchdown and two lost fumbles. Today was the full Allen experience, as he also missed a completely wide-open touchdown to John Brown and undershot Cole Beasley on what could have been a 64-yard score. The duo had to settle for a 29-yard gain. To cap things off, Allen also took a pair of third down sacks. Allen looked like a legitimate playmaker as a passer — as opposed to someone who simply has the tools to make plays — but both his fumbles as a runner were inexcusable, while his Brown overthrow is the kind of meat he's left on the bone far too often as a pro. Today was encouraging on the whole, but there is still a ways to go for Allen's real life play to match his fantasy output. As for the latter, the Dolphins represent another highly-exploitable Week 2 matchup.
Miami Dolphins DFS Spin
Dolphins coach Brian Flores confirmed Ryan Fitzpatrick will start in Week 2 against the Bills. It needed to be reiterated since Fitzpatrick was abysmal against the Patriots, tossing three interceptions in Miami's loss. It will be interesting to see if Fitzpatrick's leash is shortened versus Buffalo, or if Miami is simply just biding its time because the organization doesn't believe Tua Tagovailoa is ready. Fitzpatrick can't possibly be trusted as a streaming option against the Bills.
Bills vs. Dolphins Betting Prediction
The over has cashed in eight of the previous 10 meetings in this matchup and is 21-10 in the Bills’ last 31 games when favored. The over is also 8-3 in Buffalo’s last 11 games when favored on the road, is 4-1 in the Bills’ last five divisional games and has cashed in four of their last five games after they accumulated more than 250 yards passing in their previous game. Here are two other hot trends: The over is a perfect 4-0 in the Dolphins’ last four games when listed as a home underdog and is 5-0 in their last five games when Miami’s coming off a loss.
