Will the Indianapolis Colts find themselves in another shootout when they take on the Denver Broncos today at 4:25PM ET?

According to the oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Broncos are the clear favorite at home, as they are getting odds of -6 points against the Colts. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 47 points. Indy has dominated this series, winning eight of the last nine meetings. These two have hit the over in eight of their last 10 meetings.

Denver got things rolling last week with a 21-20 win at home over the Panthers. Despite having a lot of quarterback woes in the preseason, the team had a respectable performance from Trevor Siemian in his first start. He threw for 178 yards on 18 of 26 passing with a touchdown and two interceptions. The Broncos had a solid day on the ground, rushing for 148 yards on 29 attempts. The Denver defense was all over Cam Newton, but the Broncos did give up 157 rushing yards in the win.

The Colts were involved in the highest-scoring game of Week 1, losing to the Lions at home 39-35. Indy put up 450 yards of offense in the win, but gave up 448 to Detroit. Andrew Luck threw for 385 yards and four touchdowns in the loss, but the issue on offense was a lack of a running game. The Colts had just 82 yards rushing in the loss. Defensively, Indy was torched for 340 yards by Matthew Stafford. The numerous injuries to the secondary really showed last week and they are still dealing with them this week.

Despite the Broncos being a great defense, they still gave up 20 points last week. The offense did enough to win and should be able to move the ball this week against a banged-up Indy defense. The Colts will find a way to move the ball a little bit themselves behind Andrew Luck. Indy will have to keep throwing it around if their defense allows the kind of yards they did last week. Look for the over to hit in this one.
