Chargers vs. Bills Total Prediction
After a dismal performance in Baltimore last week, the Buffalo Bills will look to rebound on Sunday when they host the L.A. Chargers at 1:00 p.m. ET. Given Buffalo’s defensive issues a week ago, is the over a good bet in this matchup?
Game Snapshot

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Chargers are 7.5-point favorites to beat the Bills. The total, meanwhile, sits at 43 points. As of this writing, 71% of the public betting tickets are on the Chargers to cover the point spread.
Los Angeles Chargers
Chargers coach Anthony Lynn said DE Joey Bosa (foot) will miss the "next couple weeks." This matches a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter, who said Bosa would sit out Week 2 and be out "even possibly longer." The Chargers should be fine this week against the Bills, but they will struggle if Bosa is not ready to face the Rams in Week 3.
Buffalo Bills
First-round pick Josh Allen has been named the Bills' Week 2 starter against the Chargers. Coach Sean McDermott really didn't have a choice. Nathan Peterman has been an unmitigated disaster in two starts, throwing five interceptions in one half against the Chargers last year before completely face-planting Week 1 against the Ravens. Peterman was seeing ghosts before he was yanked in the third quarter. Allen led a field goal drive versus Baltimore while completing 6-of-15 passes for 74 yards. The Chargers are on the D/ST streaming radar for Sunday.
NFL Betting Trends
Los Angeles
The under is 6-0 in the Chargers’ last six road games.
Buffalo
The over is 16-5 in the Bills’ last 21 home games.
Prediction
The Bills gained just 2.5 yards per play last week versus the Ravens. That’s abysmal. Granted, Nathan Peterman started the game and Allen did move the ball better when he got in, but I don’t expect to see significant changes with this Bills offense. Now, Buffalo did allow 47 points in that loss to Baltimore and L.A. lit up the scoreboard in its loss to the Chiefs but now the Chargers have to fly cross-country and play multiple time zones away from home. I could see the Chargers coming out somewhat flat and this game staying under the total.
NFL Week 2 Prediction: Chargers/Bills under 43
