NFL Week 1 Regular-Season
Cleveland Browns DFS Spin
Baker Mayfield said he's feeling “more comfortable” in the Browns’ offense."The more plays we run to see what the identity is, we're starting to see what's working for us," Mayfield said. "It's been great to go through installs. We're really starting to make progress." Mayfield has been featuring his tight ends in practice, a staple of Kevin Stefanski's Vikings offense. He’s hyped up Austin Hooper and rookie Harrison Bryant throughout camp. Playing in what should be a better offense with an improved support cast, Mayfield is set up for a Year 3 rebound.
Baltimore Ravens DFS Spin
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson deemed himself fully recovered from the groin injury he dealt with in August. It's further confirmation that Jackson is ready to roll for the start of the regular season. Those drafting Jackson for his cheat code-like rushing upside need not worry, it seems.. This sets up for another massive opening game for Jackson and the Baltimore pass catchers.
Browns vs. Ravens Betting Prediction
Browns corners Kevin Johnson (lacerated liver) and Greedy Williams (shoulder) have both been ruled out for Sunday, while fellow corner MJ Stewart (hamstring) is questionable. Thus, Cleveland’s defense will not be at full strength for its matchup with Jackson and the Ravens. Baltimore is outstanding when it comes to exploiting defensive weaknesses and should do so again today. Meanwhile, the reports out of Cleveland when it comes to Mayfield have been glowing this offseason, but I’ll believe it when I see it when it comes to the Browns offense being better. That offensive line still looks shaky.
NFL WEEK 1 BETTING PREDICTION: BALTIMORE RAVENS -7.5
