Kansas City Chiefs Fantasy Spin
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Tyreek Hill (clavicle) will be sidelined 4-6 weeks. The Chiefs' plan, for now, is to carry Hill on the active roster and not place him on injured reserve, but RapSheet leaves open the possibility Hill could miss more than six weeks due to the nature of the injury and rehab. In the meantime, the Chiefs will count on Sammy Watkins and Travis Kelce to do most of the heavy lifting in the pass game, while Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson fill the snaps vacated by Hill. Hardman played 53-of-59 snaps after Hill's injury Week 1. He needs to be owned in all formats.
Oakland Raiders Fantasy Spin
Raiders placed S Johnathan Abram (shoulder) on injured reserve. "We'll consider this a redshirt year for him," coach Jon Gruden said. Abram will undergo shoulder surgery Thursday after tearing both his labrum and rotator cuff in Monday's Week 1 victory over the Broncos. It's disastrous timing for Oakland to lose arguably their best defensive playmaker with divisional foe Patrick Mahomes coming to town for Week 2.
NFL Betting Trends
Kansas City
The over is a perfect 6-0 in the Chiefs’ last six games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
Oakland
The under is 12-4 in the Raiders’ last 16 games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous contest.
Prediction
The over is 5-1 in the last six meetings between these two teams in Oakland. The over is also a perfect 4-0 in the Chiefs’ last four games played in September, is 7-2 in the Chiefs’ last nine games overall and is 16-5 in their last 21 road games. Even without Hill, the Chiefs remain one of the most dangerous offenses in the league and the Raiders aren’t as good defensively as they showed Monday night in their win over the Broncos (Denver is just that bad offensively).
