Buffalo Bills Fantasy Spin

The Bills ruled out WR Andre Roberts (quadriceps) Week 1 against the Jets. The much-anticipated revenge game will have to wait. Roberts being ruled out opens up more snaps for Zay Jones and Robert Foster, but neither are worth starting with John Brown and Cole Beasley looking like the No. 1 and No. 2 options for Josh Allen.

New York Jets Fantasy Spin

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Trumaine Johnson (questionable, hamstring) is "trending toward playing" Week 1 against the Bills. Johnson tweaked his hamstring over the summer but should be in line to start Sunday's opener after getting in a week of limited practices. Robby Anderson (calf), who also drew the questionable tag, figures to play as well. Johnson didn't live up to his monster contract in year one of his Jets tenure, but he still presents a tough matchup for Zay Jones on the outside.

Prediction

As the spread indicates, this should be a close game and I see this game having sneaky shootout potential because of the pass defense struggles for both teams. Neither team should be able to establish much of a running game, but I like the Jets’ ability to generate more consistent offense than the Bills, who still have problems along their offensive line. I also like the Jets’ skill position players better and if they come out of the gates strong despite this being Gase’s first game with Gang Green, NY should get a win and a cover in Week 1.
