Texans vs. Saints Preseason Pick
Will the Saints roll to victory tonight against the Texans or will Houston pull off the upset?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Saints are now 4-point home favorites versus the Texans after opening as a 3-point favorite. As for the total, the number hit the board at 45 but has been bet down to 43.5.
HOUSTON TEXANS: The Texans split their first two preseason games, losing 27-17 in Carolina in their opener and then beating the Patriots 27-23 last week. Rookie Deshaun Watson led the way with 102 passing yards, although he completed just three of his 10 passes. Tom Savage, meanwhile, was 8-of-9 passing for 98 yards and a touchdown and has been named the team's Week 1 starter.
NEW ORLEANS SAINTS: The Saints beat the Chargers 13-7 last week but dropped their preseason opener 20-14 to the Browns. Chase Daniel was 7-of-12 passing against the Chargers while Ray Nassib completed 6-of-15 passes for 55 yards with one interception. Rookie Alvin Kamara impressed, rushing five times for 61 yards and a touchdown.

OUR PREDICTION: I don't care if it's the preseason or not, it's tough to beat the Saints in the Superdome. I understand the line of thinking in this one: Hopefully Savage keeps the game close in the first half because the Texans should roll once Watson enters the game against New Orleans backups in the second half. That said, Daniel has been around and is more than capable of lighting up Houston's backups as well. I like the Saints.
