Kenneth Gainwell Prop Prediction

Chiefs vs. Eagles, 2/6/23 Kenneth Gainwell Super Bowl LVII Prop Predictions

Kenneth Gainwell went off against the Giants in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs and then contributed in the Eagles’ NFC title win over the 49ers.

That said, how much of a role will Gainwell play for Philly against the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII?

Kenneth Gainwell Player Overview

Gainwell attended Memphis University where he was a standout player for the Tigers, setting numerous records and earning conference honors. He was selected by the Eagles in the 5th round of the 2021 NFL draft and quickly established himself as one of the top young running backs in the league.

In his rookie season, Gainwell rushed for over 800 yards and scored 5 touchdowns, displaying a rare combination of speed, agility, and power. He also proved to be a valuable asset in the passing game, catching over 30 passes for over 200 yards and 2 touchdowns.

While playing firmly behind Miles Sanders in the Eagles’ backfield, Gainwell still rushed 53 times for 240 yards and four touchdowns in 17 regular season games. He has seen an uptick recently, carrying the ball 12 times for 112 yards against the Giants in the Divisional round of the NFL playoffs, then 14 times for 48 yards versus San Francisco in the NFC Championship Game.

Kenneth Gainwell Super Bowl LVII Prop Predictions

My favorite Gainwell prop is the over on his rushing yards. The number is way too low given how the Eagles used him in their playoff wins versus New York and San Francisco, respectively. In his 19 games played this season (17 regular season and two postseason), Gainwell averaged 21.05 rushing yards per game, cashing the over in eight of those 19 contests. He also went over in eight of the 18 games the Eagles were favored in for an average of 21.28 YPG and in the nine games Philly faced an opponent with a winning record, Gainwell averaged 30.89 YPG.
