Kendrick Bourne Super Bowl 54 Prop Predictions
Bourne caught his lone target for six yards in the 49ers’ 37-20 victory over the Packers in the NFC Championship Game. Of course, when quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo only attempts eight passes, there’s not a lot of opportunities for Bourne to tear up the stat sheet.
But what about Super Bowl 54? What are the best prop plays for Bourne?
As I mentioned in the Raheem Mostert prop bet article: I see this game resembling the 49ers-Saints Week 14 matchup, which turned into a shootout. I based all of my projections for Mostert on that matchup and I’ll do the same with Bourne, who caught three passes for 18 yards and two touchdowns against the Saints. If I’m right and Sunday turns into a shootout, then there should be plenty of opportunities for Bourne to rack up receptions.
That said, the only play I like for Bourne is the over when it comes to his receptions. The over/under has been set at two, with the over carrying odds of -130 and the under carrying odds of +110. If you look at Bourne’s regular season game stats, you’ll see that he caught at least two passes in every game from Week 10 to Week 17 outside of two weeks: Week 15 (1 catch vs. Atlanta) and Week 17 (0 catches versus the Seahawks). That said, he played on only 10 of 50 possible offensive snaps versus the Seahawks, so we can essentially throw that game out.
While I don’t love his receiving yards prop (over/under 23.5), I do love the over two receptions for Bourne against the Chiefs.
