The public wagers for this game are going on the Giants, as New York is getting 53 percent of the wagers. These two met back on Oct. 9 in Green Bay and the Packers got a 23-16 win. The Giants are 4-0-1 against the spread in their last five against the Packers.
The Packers won the NFC North by winning their last six games to go 10-6 on the season. Green Bay went 5-1 against the spread in this win streak to move to 9-6-1 against the spread this year. The Packers are led by their offense, which averaged 27 points and 368.8 yards per game this season. Aaron Rodgers had another great season, throwing for 4,428 yards and 40 touchdowns this year with just seven interceptions. Rodgers hasn’t thrown an INT during this six-game win streak. Jordy Nelson has 97 catches for 1,257 yards and 14 scores while Davante Adams caught 75 passes for 997 yards and 12 scores. Defensively, Green Bay hasn’t been the best, allowing 24.3 points and 363.9 yards per game, but they have made plays. The Packers have 40 sacks and created 25 turnovers this season. Nick Perry led the way with 11 sacks while Ha Ha Clinton-Dix had five interceptions. Perry is listed as questionable with a hand injury, but should play.
The Giants claimed the top Wild Card spot in the NFC by going 11-5. They won three of their last four to end the regular season, covering in all three wins to go 9-6-1 against the spread. Unlike Green Bay, New York is led by its defense. The Giants have a great defensive unit that is allowing just 17.8 points and 339.7 yards per game. Their run defense is particularly tough, allowing only 88.6 yards per game on the ground. The defense has also been very opportunistic by picking up 35 sacks and 25 turnovers. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie has six interceptions while Landon Collins has five with a team-high 125 tackles as well as four sacks. Offensively, the Giants have been rather lackluster, relying heavily on Odell Beckham Jr. Beckham has 101 receptions for 1,367 yards and 10 touchdowns, but Eli Manning has just 26 touchdowns with 16 interceptions. The Giants have one of the worst run games in the NFL at just 88.3 yards per contest, forcing Manning to have to beat defenses, but he has struggled to make big plays to anyone but Beckham.
