Updated Super Bowl Odds
Following Wildcard Weekend, what are the latest odds to win this year’s Super Bowl? The Ravens are favored, but oddsmakers clearly believe this year’s competition isn’t a one-horse race.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com, the Ravens are 2/1 favorites to win the Super Bowl but the 49ers (3/1) and Chiefs (7/2) have comparable odds. Baltimore does face a Tennessee team next weekend in the Divisional round that possibly just ended the Patriots’ dynasty and boast the league’s rushing leader Derrick Henry, although the Ravens are still 10-point home favorites in the game.
The 49ers, meanwhile, will host the Vikings, who pulled off the upset of Wildcard Weekend, knocking off the Saints 26-20 in overtime down in New Orleans. As for the Chiefs, they’ll host the Texans in the Divisional round and are 10-point home favorites at Arrowhead. Kansas City is receiving 54% of the betting tickets as of this writing according to our NFL Public Betting Chart page.
Continuing with the current Super Bowl odds, the Packers are 10/1 to win this year’s title and will host the Seahawks in the Divisional round. Seattle has the next-best odds at 12/1, followed by the aforementioned Vikings at 18/1. With Dalvin Cook back healthy, Minnesota does have the eliminates to be a scary team for anyone this postseason, although San Francisco’s’ defense is certainly formidable.
Finally, the Texans and Titans have the longest odds on the board at 30/1, respectively. Even with Henry, the Titans face long odds of upsetting Lamar Jackson and the Ravens in Baltimore, while the Texans pulled off a dramatic come-from-behind victory against Buffalo on Saturday, but they seem to be overly reliant on Deshaun Watson and their defense did not have a great showing despite their win. In fact, the Texans’ win was arguably more about the Bills’ blowing it in the second half more than Houston winning. Regardless, the Texans will have an opportunity to prove doubters wrong at Arrowhead next weekend. They did win in Kansas City back in October of this year.
