Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Ravens are 3-point favorites to beat the Chargers. The total, meanwhile, sits at 41.5 points. As of this writing, 64% of the public betting tickets are on the Chargers to cover the point spread.
Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers have yet to activate Hunter Henry (PUP, knee) ahead of Sunday's Wild Card game against the Ravens. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Monday that Henry was expected to make his season debut this week, though the Chargers are running out of time to activate him. The Bolts have until Saturday at 4 PM ET to add him to their active roster. Henry resumed practicing in mid-December, roughly seven months after tearing his ACL at OTAs. Antonio Gates and Virgil Green have been keeping his seat warm at tight end.
Baltimore Ravens
Ravens LG Alex Lewis (shoulder) is questionable for Sunday's Wild Card game against the Chargers. There's no concern here as Lewis was a full go at all three practices this week. WR Chris Moore (shoulder) and CB Tavon Young (groin) also drew questionable tags for Sunday's playoff opener.
NFL Betting Trends
Los Angeles
The under is 4-0 in the Chargers’ last four Wild Card games.
Baltimore
The under is 5-0 in the Ravens’ last five home playoff games.
Prediction
The Ravens own the No. 1 statistical defense in the league, ranking first in fewest yards allowed and are No. 2 in scoring defense. The Chargers, meanwhile, have a top-10 rush defense, which bodes well for facing the run-heavy Ravens. When these two teams played in L.A. a few weeks back they combined for only 32 points. Now the game shifts to cold Baltimore where defense should be on display again. The under is 7-3 in the Chargers’ last 10 games overall and is 6-2-1 in the Ravens’ last nine games played in the month of January.
NFL Wild Card Prediction: Chargers/Ravens under 41.5
