Jazz vs. Cavaliers Pick
Are the Cleveland Cavaliers going to dominate at home tonight at 7:30PM ET when they play the Utah Jazz?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Cavaliers are a 10-point favorite on the spread line. The over-under is set at 211 points.
Utah enters with a 14-15 overall record and 16-13 ATS after a 107-95 victory at the Celtics Friday night which ended a four-game losing streak. Cleveland is 21-8 and 10-18-1 ATS following a 121-112 home win over the Lakers, its third straight triumph. The Jazz went 1-1 straight up and 1-0-1 ATS in two meetings last season. The under went 2-0.
In the win at Boston, Utah lost center Rudy Gobert two minutes in to a knee injury and he is almost certainly out tonight. Additionally, Derrick Favors had to leave the game with a head injury and although he passed the concussion protocol his status is questionable. Ricky Rubio led the way to the victory with 22 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Donovan Mitchell contributed 17 points, nine assists and five rebounds. Jonas Jerebko had 17 points, seven rebounds and two steals off the bench. Rodney Hood added 17 points and five boards off the bench. The Jazz outscored the hosts a combined 58-41 in the second and third quarters.
Kevin Love poured in 28 points to go with 11 rebounds, three assists and two steals in the win over Los Angeles. LeBron James notched a triple-double with 25 points, 12 rebounds, 12 assists, two steals and two blocked shots. Jose Calderon added 17 points, six assists, three boards and two steals. The Cavaliers outscored the Lakers 58-52 in the second half.
Utah is 3-0-1 ATS in the last four meetings. The under is 5-2 in the last seven meetings.
The Jazz might be down a couple interior players tonight. After getting healthy in the last week or two, Utah once again will be without Gobert which is unfortunate given his importance as a rim protector and rebounder. Although the Jazz have some talented backcourt players and Mitchell has been a revelation as a rookie, it is difficult to envision them keeping up with the Cavs tonight. Cleveland is due for a blowout win and it is the more rested team here. Take the hosts.
