T-Wolves falter against Rockets

Minnesota was without guard Andrew Wiggins again Saturday night in a 125-105 home loss against Houston. The Timberwolves were outscored 61-43 in the second half of the defeat. Karl-Anthony Towns led Minnesota with 27 points on 9-of-15 shooting including 3-of-6 from 3-point distance plus 6-of-6 at the free throw line. He also accounted for 15 rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots. Jake Layman registered 21 points, five boards and two assists. Robert Covington tallied 17 points, five caroms and three assists. Jarrett Culver added 13 points, two rebounds and two dimes off the bench.

Jazz have four-game win streak snapped

Utah lost 107-106 Friday night at Memphis to drop to 8-4 overall and 2-4 on the road. The Jazz were outscored 30-27 in the fourth quarter of the defeat. Donovan Mitchell led Utah with 29 points on 9-of-21 shooting including 1-of-8 from 3-point range plus 10-of-10 at the free throw line. He also recorded nine rebounds, five assists and two steals. Rudy Gobert accounted for 23 points, 17 boards and five blocked shots. Bojan Bogdanovic tallied 20 points in 35 minutes of action. Mike Conley Jr. added 15 points, four caroms and three dimes in his return to play his former team.

With Utah coming off a loss, I expect it to be clicking on all cylinders here and send the T-Wolves to a loss by double digits to cover the spread.
