T-Wolves falter in fourth at Golden State
Minnesota hung with the host Warriors for three quarters Friday night before folding in the fourth as it was outscored 33-12 over the final 12 minutes in a 116-99 loss. Jimmy Butler contributed 21 points, five assists and three boards. Josh Okogie had 15 points and five rebounds off the bench. Karl-Anthony Towns tallied 13 points, 11 rebounds and two steals. Blazers fall at home to Lakers
Portland dropped a 114-110 decision at home Saturday night against Los Angeles. Damian Lillard led the Trail Blazers with 30 points on 10-of-23 shooting to go with four rebounds, four assists and three steals. C.J. McCollum also scored 30 on 13-of-24 shooting plus five rebounds and four assists. Jusuf Nurkic contributed 14 points, 13 rebounds, two assists and two blocks. Evan Turner had 11 points, three boards and three assists off the bench. Zach Collins added 10 points as a reserve. NBA Public Betting Trends
Minnesota
The under is 4-1 in the last five T-Wolves games on one day of rest. Minnesota is 13-37-1 ATS in the last 51 meetings.
Portland
The over is 4-1 in the last five Trail Blazers home games. Portland is 18-7-1 ATS in the last 26 home meetings versus the Timberwolves.
Prediction:
Minnesota is going to have some turmoil as long as Butler is around to stir the pot. He is basically playing whenever he wants on back-to-backs, but with a day off yesterday he should be in the lineup tonight. Even though the Blazers played last night, I have to like them at home against a T-Wolves squad that is 0-4 on the road. Portland looked good in the fourth quarter yesterday and the hope would be that there is a carry over affect.
