Jazz blast Kings

Utah rolled to the tune of 113-81 at home Saturday night over Sacramento to improve to 2-1 on the season including 2-0 at home. The Jazz led 66-41 at halftime en route to the triumph. Bojan Bogdanovic led the way for Utah with 26 points on 10-of-18 shooting including 5-of-9 from 3-point range plus 1-of-1 at the free throw line. He also pulled down four rebounds. Donovan Mitchell contributed 15 points and four assists, while Mike Conley Jr. had 12 points plus eight dimes and three boards. Georges Niang added 12 points and three caroms off the bench.

Suns stun Clippers

Phoenix secured a 130-122 home victory Saturday over the LA Clippers to move to 2-1 on the season and 2-0 at home. The hosts outscored Los Angeles 75-67 in the second half of the win. Devin Booker led the Suns with 30 points on 10-of-20 shooting including 3-of-6 from 3-poitn distance plus 7-of-8 at the free throw line. He also notched eight assists and six rebounds. Kelly Oubre Jr. contributed 20 points, five boards and three steals. Dario Saric had 15 points, 10 caroms, three dimes and two steals. Frank Kaminsky tallied 18 points plus eight rebounds and six assists off the bench. Arron Baynes registered 14 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two steals. Tyler Johnson added 10 points, four assists and two rebounds as a reserve.

Prediction: 

Despite beating the Clippers the other night, this presents a terrible matchup for the Suns as it does for many teams that face the Jazz. Expect Booker to be a little more bottled up than usual and the absence of DeAndre Ayton due to suspension show up more tonight with Rudy Gobert manning the middle for Utah. The Jazz were extremely impressive a couple nights ago and I look for that to continue here.
