Warriors vs. Grizzlies Pick
Will the Golden State Warriors win for a second straight day when they play at the Memphis Grizzlies Saturday night at 8PM EST?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Warriors are an 8-point favorite on the spread and the over-under is set at 211.5.
Golden State is 1-1 after a 128-120 victory Friday at the Pelicans. The Grizzlies come in with a 1-0 record following a 103-91 home win over the Pelicans on Wednesday. The Warriors won two of three matchups straight up last year and was 2-1 ATS. The total went over in two of the three games.
The Warriors were led by Kevin Durant Friday night as he tied his career-high with six blocked shots. Golden State trailed 39-26 after one quarter of play before outscoring New Orleans by a combined 72-51 over the following two quarters.
Memphis was paced Wednesday by Mike Conley as he scored 27 points to go with five rebounds and three assists. Dillon Brooks had 19 points and five boards off the bench. Marc Gasol contributed 14 points, 11 rebounds and four assists. The Grizzlies trailed 34-27 through one quarter before righting the ship and outscoring the visitors in each of the three remaining quarters.
Golden State is 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings. The under is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings in Memphis.
The Warriors won't forget the huge comeback by the Grizzlies in their first meeting at the Oracle last season any time soon. Golden State proceeded to cover the next two times against Memphis and look for that tightened focus once again Saturday. Even though Memphis is more rested, we like the power-packed Warriors in this spot.
