Boston Celtics DFS Notes
Jayson Tatum struggled during Thursday’s Game 1 win over the Warriors, scoring 12 points on 3-of-17 shooting (5-of-7 FT) to go with five rebounds, 13 assists, one triple, one steal and two turnovers in 42 minutes. Tatum appeared to have some early jitters in his first Finals game, as he bricked back-to-back free throws during his first trip to the line, and he missed more than a handful of shots he typically makes. The Dubs did do a nice job of making things tough on him, but he’s not going to miss wide-open looks all series long, and it’s a problem for Golden State that Boston was able to get the win despite their superstar struggling this badly. Look for him to be even better in Game 2.
Golden State Warriors DFS Notes
Stephen Curry produced 34 points (12-of-25 FG, 3-of-4 FT), five boards, five dimes, seven treys, three steals and two turnovers across 38 minutes in Thursday’s Game 1 loss to Boston. Curry was en fuego to begin today’s game, as he put in 21 of Golden State’s first 32 points through the first quarter of action while only missing two shots, one of which was a heave at the end of the quarter. However, he was scoreless through the second quarter and quiet in the fourth during the Warriors’ late-game collapse. Klay Thompson also had a rough night, finishing with 15 points on 6-of-14 shooting to go with two boards, three assists and three triples over 39 minutes.
