Atlanta Hawks DFS Notes
Trae Young finished Sunday’s 107-105 win against the Knicks with 32 points, seven rebounds, 10 assists, a triple and two turnovers. This was Trae’s playoff debut but he looked extremely under control throughout the game, giving up only two turnovers in his 35 minutes. He also became just the fourth player with at least 30 points and 10 assists in his playoff debut, joining Derrick Rose, Chris Paul and LeBron James - not bad company for Ice Trae. Naturally, he even had the biggest play of the game with what turned out to be the game-winning floater to put the Hawks up two with just 0.9 left, which New York utilized poorly, failing to get a shot off against Atlanta's stifling defense. If Game 1 is any indication, this Hawks vs. Knicks matchup looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun.
New York Knicks DFS Notes
Julius Randle has won the 2020-21 Most Improved Player Award. It was pretty clear that Randle was going to be taking home this trophy when he was named a finalist alongside Michael Porter Jr. and Jerami Grant on Sunday. Randle not only showed immense statistical improvement this season — particularly from 3-point territory — but his improved production also resulted in tangible wins for New York with the Knickerbockers finishing as the No. 4 seed this season. They're back in the postseason for the first time since 2013 and that's thanks in large part to Julius Deion Randle.
