Westbrook avoids suspension
Russell Westbrook left the bench to confront Utah center Rudy Gobert late in Game 4, which the Jazz won 113-96 on Monday night. Westbrook was in danger of being suspended one game per NBA rules, but perhaps due to his superstar status he instead was assessed a technical foul and handed a $10,000 fine. Westbrook got in early foul trouble and sat out the end of the first half after picking up his fourth, but did manage to play 36 minutes and ended with five fouls. He ended with 23 points, 14 rebounds and three assists.
Mitchell, Ingles pace Jazz
Rookie Donovan Mitchell was once again outstanding, scoring a game-best 33 points in the Game 4 victory on 13-of-28 shooting. He added seven rebounds, four assist and a blocked shot. Mitchell is now averaging 27.5 points per game during the regular season after putting in 20.5 per during the regular season. Small forward Joe Ingles, who has had a back-and-forth with Thunder star Paul George all series, put in 20 points on 6-of-12 from the floor including 5-of-11 from 3-point distance. After a 1-of-6 shooting performance in Game 2, Ingles has followed it up with a combined 41 points the last two contests to have a key role in the Utah attack.
NBA Betting Trends
Utah
The under is 14-6 in the last 20 meetings. Utah is 4-11-1 ATS in the last 16 meetings in Oklahoma City.
Oklahoma City
The Thunder are 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven hom games. Oklahoma City is 1-4 ATS in its last five games overall.
Prediction:
Utah appears to be in Oklahoma City's heads right now and aside from the Jazz's struggles ATS in Oklahoma City the last many seasons, there isn't a lot of argument to be made in taking the Thunder. Of course, this is pro sports so anything can happen. But it appears Utah is at a different level on both ends of the court right now and I don't think OKC is going to be able to catch up. I'm going to stick with the spread line, but don't be afraid to roll the dice on the moneyline to get that plus money.
