According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Hawks are favored at home today, as they are getting odds of -2.5 points against the Wizards. The over/under total for the game is listed at 209.5 points.

Washington won Game 2 of the series back on Wednesday, 109-101. The Wizards now have a 2-0 lead in the series and they have won five straight meetings with the Hawks, covering the spread in four of those five games. Washington is now 51-33 overall, 19-22 on the road and 44-39-1 against the spread. Atlanta is 43-41 overall, 23-18 at home and 39-45 against the spread.

The Wizards picked up the win on Wednesday behind a 35-23 fourth quarter. Washington forced Atlanta into 18 turnovers while the Wizards ran behind the scoring of John Wall and Bradley Beal. Wall had 32 points and nine assists while Beal had 31 points. The Hawks really didn’t get much from the bench, as it contributed just 14 points. Paul Millsap had 27 points and 10 rebounds for Atlanta while Dennis Schroder had 23 points with six assists.

Bet on Hawks vs. Wizards

The Wizards aren’t a great road team and Atlanta has been able to compete on the road in this series. The Hawks just haven’t been able to finish the games. I think by returning to Atlanta, the Hawks should see a boost in effort on offense and defense. The Wizards have been impressive this season, but they still seem a little too reliable on Wall and Beal. If the Hawks are able to stop one of them, I see Washington having a hard time winning.
