Are the Memphis Grizzlies and host New Orleans Pelicans going to engage in a high-scoring affair that eclipses the betting total tonight at 8PM ET?
509 Memphis Grizzlies at 510 New Orleans Pelicans, 8PM ET
According to oddsmakers at YouWager, the Pelicans are listed as a 13-point favorite on the spread line. The total sits at 215.5 points.
New Orleans opened as a 12.5-point favorite on the spread line, while the total has gone down from 217 points. The Pelicans are a 13-point favorite almost everywhere, but as always shop around for the best line. The total is 215.5 at most books, but can be found at 215.
As of Wednesday afternoon, 56 percent of public bets are siding with New Orleans. Online wager info also states that 60 percent of bets are coming in on the under.
INJURY TO WATCH
Memphis shooting guard MarShon Brooks (ankle) is questionable to play tonight. Shooting guard Tyreke Evans (personal) is out indefinitely. Point guard Andrew Harrison (wrist), power forward JaMychal Green (knee), small forward Chandler Parsons (knee) and shooting guard Wayne Selden (knee) are all out tonight. Point guard Mike Conley Jr. (Achilles) is out for the season. For the Pelicans, three players are out for the season - point guard Frank Jackson (foot), center DeMarcus Cousins (Achilles) and center Alexis Ajinca (knee).
The Grizzlies have scored 101 or fewer points in three of their last four games, but they played tough defensive teams during that stretch. New Orleans doesn't fall into that category. But for whatever reason, the Pelicans' offense is also struggling right now during their four-game losing streak which is happening at an awful time. New Orleans will probably end that streak tonight against lowly Memphis as it attempts to hold onto a playoff spot, but chances are it will go under like two of the previous three meetings this season.
