The Knicks blew out the Wizards two nights ago but are only 2.5-point home favorites versus Washington on Thursday night. Is this a trap game for bettors or are the Knicks a good bet to cash?

Washington Wizards DFS Notes

Bradley Beal shot 6-of-15 from the field and 10-of-10 from the foul line in Tuesday’s loss to the Knicks, putting up 22 points, four rebounds, four assists and one steal in 32 minutes. Beal and backcourt partner Russell Westbrook (14/4/12/2 in 29 minutes) struggled in Tuesday’s loss, combining to shoot 9-of-29 from the field while also committing nine turnovers. Beal was responsible for five of those miscues, and he continues to be inconsistent from three since the All-Star break. In the seven games that the Wizards have played since the break, Beal has shot 11-of-34 from beyond the arc, and eight of those makes came in two games. We’ll see if he can get back on track Thursday night when the Wizards meet the Knicks again.

New York Knicks DFS Notes

RJ Barrett played a game-high 39 minutes in Tuesday’s win over the Wizards, recording a line of 21 points (8-of-18 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), three rebounds, five assists, two blocks and one 3-pointer. After scoring 19 points or fewer in three straight games, Barrett was back over the 20-point mark Tuesday night. That being said, since going 1-of-9 in the Knicks’ February 23 loss to the Warriors, he’s shot 41% or better from the field in each of his last 12 games. Barrett’s field goal percentage for the season has jumped five percentage points from his rookie campaign. While he is still ranked well outside of the top-100 in both 8- and 9-cat formats, Barrett is making strides in his second NBA season.

Wizards vs. Knicks Game Prediction

The Knicks are 7-1 against the spread in their last eight games as a home favorite, are 4-1-1 against the number in their last six games overall and are 8-1 at the betting window in their last nine games after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game. One the other side, the Wizards are winless against the spread in their last four games playing on one day of rest.
