Brooklyn Nets DFS Notes
James Harden played through a sore neck and hit just 7-of-24 shots, missed all seven of his 3-point attempts and hit 11-of-13 free throws for 25 points, seven rebounds, 17 assists and two steals in Tuesday's 116-112 win over the Blazers. The 17 dimes tied his career high and set a Nets high for him, and he's one of those rare players that can struggle to hit the broad side of a barn with his shot and still come through with a monster fantasy line. We didn't know if he would play until just minutes before tip-off tonight and Harden later said he was "very close" to not playing. Fantasy managers have to hope he's good to go on Wednesday night against the Jazz. We're taking him off the injury report, but be sure to check back on Wednesday to see if he's playing tonight.
Utah Jazz DFS Notes
Rudy Gobert hit 9-of-11 shots for 21 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and a career-high nine blocks in Monday's blowout 120-95 win over the Bulls. The Jazz let Rudy stay out there to chase his 10th block in a blowout and he appeared to have it in the bag when he blocked a Lauri Markkanen dunk attempt late. However, the ball went off Gobert's hands, caromed off the glass, bounced around and ended up going in. He would have had just the second triple-double with blocks in the last three season, following up Clint Capela's on Jan. 22. Gobert's having an amazing season and said after the game that he never really chases blocks, "unless I've got nine." Don't look now, but he's solidly put himself in the middle of the MVP race.
Nets vs. Jazz Game Prediction
The Nets are just 3-8 against the spread in their last 11 meetings with the Jazz in Utah and are 7-17 against the number in their last 24 games in this series overall. They’ve also dropped 10 of their last 14 games as the betting window when playing the second game of a back-to-back, while the Jazz have covered the number in 14 of their last 16 home games.
NBA PREDICTION: UTAH JAZZ -6.5
