Jazz rout host Wizards

Utah earned a 116-95 victory Monday night at Washington to improve to 41-29 overall and 18-17 on the road. The Jazz led 57-45 at halftime and outscored the Wizards 34-26 in the third quarter to roll to the win. Utah shot 49-of-91 from the floor, 14-of-37 from 3-point range plus 4-of-6 at the free throw line. Donovan Mitchell led a balanced scoring attack with 19 points on 8-of-18 shooting from the field plus 3-of-7 from 3-point distance. He also dished out two assists. Jae Crowder tallied 18 points, five boards, three dimes and two blocked shots off the bench. Joe Ingles had 16 points along with four assists and three rebounds. Rudy Gobert added 14 points, 14 caroms, three assists and two blocks.

Knicks crushed by Raptors

New York suffered a 128-92 loss Monday night at Toronto to drop to 14-57 on the season and 7-31 on the road. The Knicks trailed 73-54 at halftime en route to the defeat. New York shot 28-of-85 from the field, 8-of-35 from 3-point distance plus 28-of-32 from the free throw line. Allonzo Trier paced the Knicks with 22 points off the bench on 8-of-14 shooting including 1-of-2 from 3-point range plus 5-of-6 at the free throw line. He also contributed four rebounds and three assists. Kevin Knox had 12 points, six boards and two steals. Damyean Dotson added 11 points and two steals.

Utah has been beating foes up, but has really struggled over the years against New York for whatever reason. The Knicks are a mess, but they've had some moments of competitiveness at home. This is a big spread and it's not easy to win so many games in a row by double digits in the NBA. I think the Jazz take their foot off the gas pedal enough to allso New York to stay within the number.
