Bulls vs. Clippers Pick
Will the Chicago Bulls and host Los Angeles Clippers play a game that stays under the total this afternoon at 3:30PM ET?
Who Oddsmakers Like: Los Angeles. According to oddsmakers at YouWager, the Clippers are a 7.5-point favorite on the spread line. The total is set at 221.5 points. Los Angeles opened as a 7-point fave, while the total has gone up from 220.5.
Who the Public Likes: Chicago. As of Saturday morning, 71 percent of public bets have come in on the visiting Bulls.
Injury Report: Bulls shooting guard Tony Allen had a setback in his recovery from a fracture in his leg and is questionable to play today. Lauri Markkanen missed the last game as he tended to a personal matter and will be out again today. Cameron Payne is recovering from foot surgery and is out until the end of February. Kris Dunn is out indefinitely with a brain injury. For the Clippers, Avery Bradley is dealing with a sore hamstring but is expected to make his team debut today. Tobias Harris missed the last game due to an ankle injury, but probable to make his Los Angeles debut today. Jawun Evans has been out with an abdominal injury and there is not a timetable for his return. Austin Rivers is nearing a return from an Achilles injury, but will remain out of the lineup for today's contest. Patrick Beverley is out for the season as he recovers from a knee injury. CJ Williams is rehabbing an ankle sprain and is out indefinitely.
Who the Trends Like: Chicago is 3-7 ATS in the last 10 meetings. The under is 5-1 in the last six meetings. Chicago is 0-4 ATS in its last four games.
Who We Like: Neither of these teams look the same as they did last week now that the Bulls dealt Nikola Mirotic to the Pelicas Friday afternoon. But ultimately, the bigger loss is Blake Griffin gone from the the Clippers. It is still difficult to process him not being in LA. The Clippers got back a strong perimeter defender and complementary offensive piece in Bradley plus an intriguing talent in Harris, who gets better incrementally each season. The biggest return for Los Angeles was certainly the lightly protected 2018 first round draft pick, while it now has Griffin's mega contract off the books. As for today, I'm going to say the Clippers' offense will be a bit out of synch. Certainly, things can run fluidly through Lou Williams but not having Griffin around is going to have an impact on a lot of possesssions. As for the Bulls, they stunk offensively at Portland in their last game until it was too late during a 116-108 loss. Without Mirotic around and not having Dunn available hurts offensively. Take the under here.
