Cincinnati Reds Fantasy Spin
Yasiel Puig (shoulder) remains out of the Reds’ starting lineup Wednesday versus the Brewers. Jesse Winker is in right field and Josh VanMeter will play left field as the Reds wrap up a two-game series at Milwaukee’s Miller Park. Puig remains day-to-day after suffering a mild right shoulder sprain while making a fantastic catch on Sunday. For now, it still sounds like he should avoid the 10-day injured list.
Milwaukee Brewers Fantasy Spin
Keston Hiura had a pair of hits in Tuesday’s loss to the Reds. The Brewers weren’t able to get much going against Reds starter Sonny Gray and company, finishing with just six hits in a 3-0 shutout loss, but Hiura picked up two of those hits for his fourth multi-hit game in seven contests since being promoted. He’s also got six hits in his last 16 at-bats, including a homer on Sunday, to raise his line to .286/.355/.393 in those seven games. As he continues to get comfortable against big league pitching, the 22-year-old should continue to become more of a force at the plate as well.
