Kentucky Derby 135 Odds: I Want Revenge Heavy Favorite at 5/2 Odds to Win
The 135th running of the Kentucky Derby is this Saturday and oddsmakers have established I Want Revenge as a 5/2 favorite.
While looking at his last eight races, you’ll understand why oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have established I Want Revenge as a 5/2 favorite to win the 2009 Kentucky Derby. Although it should be noted that if Quality Road wasn’t sidelined with a foot injury, he would likely have been the favorite this Saturday.
I Want Revenge smoked the competition during his last two races, winning at the Wood Memorial on April 4 and the Gotham on March 7. Before those two victories, he placed third at the Robert B. Lewis (2/7/09), second at the CashCall Futurity (12/20/08) and first at the Maiden Special Weight (12/20/08). He also had three third place finishes in his three races prior to the Maiden Special Weight.
Even though I Want Revenge is the current favorite, he does have competition in Dunkirk and Friesan Fire.
