Your Wednesday freebie is the Rhode Island Rams.

Believe it or not, the Rams of Fordham have beaten the Rams of Rhode Island in each of the last 2 series meetings. Included is a 64-61 win at home in 2016, and a stunning 53-43 win at Rhode Island last season as the +13 1/2 point underdog!

I would tend to believe that Dan Hurley's URI Rams will be ready for this meeting tonight at historic Rose Hill Gym, as Rhody has been running roughshod over the A-10 field this season - perfect 7-0 straight up so far, with 3 straight covers, and covers in 6 of 7 in conference action!

Fordham has won just one time in their last 8 games, and the points haven't been all that much of a help either, as the Bronx Rams are just 1-4 their last 5, and only 2-5 against the spread over their last 7 games.

Rhode Island has covered 4 of their 5 away games this season, while Fordham is only 2-4-1 against the spread at home thus far. The Kingston Rams also average a whopping 18 points per game more than their Bronx counterparts over their last 5 games contested.

Double-revenge to be administered in blowout fashion.

Rhode Island big.

4* RHODE ISLAND

My free play for tonight is on Duquesne over Richmond.

The Spiders are struggling this season, and are clearly missing all-American forward T.J. Cline. Richmond opened the season 1-8, it is now 6-13 overall and 4-3 in conference play, and now visits one of the Atlantic 10's top teams in Duquesne (14-6, 5-2).

The Dukes are 11-1 when holding opponents to less than 70 points, and I don't see that being a problem against Richmond's Princeton-like offense. That methodical approach won't work against Duquesne, which is 12-2 at Palumbo Center this season and is currently on a 10-game home winning streak.

Richmond is young, starting two freshmen and two sophomores, and won't be able to withstand the much-better Dukes on their home court.

3* DUQUESNE

The Minutemen are not exactly a juggernaut, but why in the world are the Explorers favored by this much in tonight's Atlantic 10 showdown?

La Salle has regularly blown leads this season, and they enter this game at Tom Gola Arena with straight up losses in 5 of their last 6 games, and spread losses in ALL 6 of those games!

Included in that stretch is an UGLY loss in Amherst, as John Giannini's team led 41-25 at the half, yet somehow lost the game 86-79 in overtime. That win was the Minutemen's 8th straight up win and cover in the last 10 series meetings against the Explorers.

True, UMass is just 1-7 straight up in their road/neutral site games this season, but they have managed a 4-4 spread mark in those 8 games.

La Salle may get their revenge tonight, but I don't think they will cover the game if they do win.

Take the Minutemen plus the points.

2* MASSACHUSETTS

Whenever you get Houston on the road or Dallas at home, the under is usually a mortal lock.

Houston’s defense has been pretty solid lately as they have been holding teams to about a hundred points over there last 5 games. This will be compounded by the fact that we know Dallas often struggles to score.

We know that under Bettors have been rewarded whenever these two teams play lately, as the Under is 5-1 in their last 6 meetings.

In fact all of the Rockets games have been going under lately, Under is 5-0 in Rockets last 5 overall.

4* HOUSTON-DALLAS UNDER
