If RB Derrick Henry keeps running like a man possessed, Tennessee can stay within a TD. Yet, this phenomenal trend cannot last indefinitely. When Henry becomes mortal again, QB Ryan Tannehill will be tested -- and he could flunk. Tannehill has been sharp since Henry heated up, but that’s partly because the ground game has made passing easier. Baltimore limited foes to the league’s second-lowest reception rate this season. On defense, the Titans allowed big gains to running QBs -- hello, Lamar Jackson -- and Ravens RB Mark Ingram is rested after a pair of idle weeks.

There are a few trends pushing me in this direction. One is that bettors tend to overvalue both home-field advantage and the bye in the NFL playoffs. Road dogs tend to do well in the Divisional Round. Then there's Kyle Shanahan as a favorite. Since taking over in San Francisco, the 49ers are 5-12-1 ATS as a favorite under Shanny, and 3-8-1 ATS as a home favorite. Finally, there's a trend under Mike Zimmer that's hard to ignore as well. Since he took over the Vikings, Minnesota is 18-18 ATS in games against NFC North foes. It's 44-19-1 ATS against non-divisional foes. That's remarkable.

The Vikings aren't your typical No. 6 seed. They can run the ball, they're really good at getting takeaways, and their secondary has gotten much better. The front seven was always strong. They put a lot of pressure on Drew Brees last week. San Fran's offensive line isn't that great. Kirk Cousins has some great targets to throw and, together with Dalvin Cook, they can do enough to keep it close. The 49ers defense will get a boost from the return of Dee Ford, but remember, they gave up 20 or more points in eight of their last nine games. Take the points.

Eight of the Ravens' last 10 wins have come by double digits, many via blowout. Lamar Jackson accounted for 43 TDs in 15 games and I don't think Tennessee has the defense to cop with him. Baltimore led the NFL in scoring (33.2). I didn't like the way Ryan Tannehiill looked last week. Derrick Henry can only do so much. Lay the points.

The Titans slayed New England and now have to head to Baltimore for their third straight road game. Tennessee beat the Pats 20-13 and did so by running it really well and playing stifling defense against a weaker offense. Both BAL and TEN have slanted heavily to the over this year, but I think their styles match up well for this one to go under early. Tennessee is going to want to run the ball with Derrick Henry to keep Baltimore off the field. They'll mix in some Tannehill throws, but the last three weeks they've run it 105 times to just 64 pass attempts. The Titans defense has done pretty well against the run holding seven of their last eight opponents to 140 yards on the ground or less. They've been a mixed bag when it comes to facing the pass, but there could be rain in the forecast so who knows how effective these two will be at passing it. On the Baltimore side, you've got an offense that's playing their first game with the starters since December 22nd against Cleveland. The Ravens sat their key offensive guys in the 28-10 home win over the Steelers. Baltimore is another team that wants to run it with 107 rushes and 80 passes the last three weeks that they had their starters in. The Ravens defense has held four straight opponents to 110 rushing yards or less and their secondary has been awesome since giving up 268 yards through the air to New England back in early November. I think both of these teams grind out some possessions with plenty of runs and I think there could be an early feeling out process as well. That's why I'm on the 1st half under.

Lay the lumber here with Baltimore since they have all the advantages in this game. Has to be a huge let down spot here for Tennessee coming into this one off of a huge road upset win at New England and now the Titans will be playing their 3rd road game in a row with all 3 feeling like playoff games since they needed to win the last week of the regular season to get into the playoffs. Baltimore had the week off to rest and prepare and their QB Jackson has been unstoppable pretty much all season long. Baltimore has covered 8 of their 9 games after their bye week and with the extra rest here they look primed for a big win and cover.

The Vikings and Kirk Cousins got their initial playoff win out of the way last week at New Orleans, but the Cinderella story ends here at San Francisco. The 49ers running game is going to give the Vikings trouble, and then once that opens, it’s George Kittle and Emmanuel Sanders all over the place for big plays. I think this game will provide the largest margin of victory of the weekend. I'm on the 49ers.

There may be some light rain, but the wind shouldn't be more than 10 miles per hour and the temperature will be about 60 degrees, which should help both of these offenses do their thing. Both teams will have success on the ground, but what really gets this game Over the total is what A.J. Brown and Ryan Tannehill have been doing the last 11 weeks, which have helped nine of those 11 games get Over. The Ravens averaged 31 points per game. Over is the play.

At full strength, the Vikings’ lineup clearly suggests a higher seed than No. 6. With oft-injured RB Dalvin Cook and WR Adam Thielen on the field, the offense produces six points and 51 yards more than it does without one or the other. Cook is fit and Thielen appears good to go after hurting an ankle in practice. A veteran defense should keep San Francisco reasonably in check. While the 49ers' defense is regaining its health, it will not send out the optimum lineup. A telling trend: Minnesota has missed covering once in its previous five outings while San Fran has failed in four of its last five home games.

This is a pretty good value position on the low side of a key number, even in this NFC divisional playoff involving two top-10 defensive units. The Vikings matched their season average with 26 points in their upset of the Saints last weekend with a balanced and effective offense. The 49ers rank second in the NFL with 30 points per contest and used the bye week to get healthy at some key positions. This one should clear the Over with room to spare.

San Francisco's offense is one that is explosive and puts a lot of strain on opposing defenses. One defense that's built for that challenge though is Minnesota's. I don't know how much I can trust the Vikings OL in this game, but I do know their defense will be more than game to keep this one under a touchdown. Take Minnesota.

A banged-up Mark Ingram does take a little bit of bite out of the Ravens offense. But, as long as the biggest dog of them all, Lamar Jackson, is under center, there shouldn't be any issues offensively with the Ravens. Tennessee will need a much better effort this week from QB Ryan Tannehill, as the Titans can't depend on just Derrick Henry to keep this game close, much less knock out the Ravens. Take Baltimore.

After watching the Vikings beat the Saints, the urge is going to be to want to play them again here, but I'm going against that urge. The 49ers are getting at least one key piece of the defense back in Kwon Alexander and also potentially Dee Ford, and that's not great for a Minnesota offensive line that has had its issues. Adam Thielen's injury is also a concern for the Vikings as he was a big part of their wild-card win, as more than 50 percent of Kirk Cousins' passing yards went to him. Kyle Shanahan has had two weeks to prepare for this game, and I see his offense scoring plenty of points here as the 49ers roll.

Weather is going to play a factor in this game, and as long as it doesn't cause too many turnovers, this will be a low-scoring defensive battle with both teams trying to establish their running games. Both teams can rush the football and are going to chew up a lot of clock grinding out first downs. The kicking game is also going to be an issue with the weather. The Under has cashed in six straight home playoff games for the Ravens and six of the last seven playoff games for the Titans. Under is the play.

This is the playoffs and double digits in a game like this is a lot. The Ravens are dominating, having won 12 straight to end the season. But this game being played in sloppy conditions means anything can happen. The Titans can rush the football, and if they can get anything going with Derrick Henry and keep the ball away from Lamar Jackson, they could shock the Ravens. Ryan Tannehill is playing excellent football and led the NFL in passer rating. The Titans will do a good enough job defensively and enough on offense to keep this one within single digits. Take Tennessee.

Both of these offenses are centered around running the ball, even if they go about it in different ways. That makes the Under the most appealing option on the board because I'm not willing to trust anybody as a double-digit favorite in a playoff game, nor am I excited about betting against the Ravens.

Derrick Henry has carried 66 times the past two weeks, and now he's facing a better run defense than the units he torched in Houston and New England. And this Ravens defense is completely rested. Since Week 4, Baltimore has fielded the NFL's best defense. The Ravens' blitzes will bother Ryan Tannehill. On the other side, Tennessee's defense struggles to contain mobile quarterbacks. Lay the points.

The Titans are legit, and they certainly deserve to be here, even as the sixth seed. But the Ravens are just too good to fade, winners of 12 straight with a 9-1 ATS record in their last 10 games. The Ravens' one weakness comes defending the run, so the Titans do have a pathway to keeping this game close. But if they fall behind at all -- and that defense isn't as good as they looked against a bad Pats offense -- I think they're toast and Baltimore can name their score. Don't overlook how well the Ravens defense has played during their hot streak, holding five playoff teams to 20 points or less. There aren't many teams that can keep up with them.

49ers/Vikings Over 44.5
The Vikings went down to New Orleans at got a huge win so nobody can say they don’t have a chance today. New Orleans has a great offense, but not many receivers other than Thomas. When it comes to San Francisco they can really spread the field and at home put up a ton of points. Minnesota is built like San Francisco on offense. This team has all of the right weapons to win this game, but they are just coming up against a better opponent. This 49ers team is so good and dinking and dunking down the field which is what the Viking Defense is really not great at. Home field advantage is key in the playoffs. Only special teams head out on the road and get themselves to the super bowl. This Vikings team has the players to do so on both sides of the ball, but I am not so sure the coaching. This should be good for a while, but the 49ers will eventually put their foot on the gas and then will come the Kirk Cousins mistakes in the process of coming back. Take the 49ers and the Over.

Rotation #303-304
Titans +10 over Ravens
If I had to pick a Super Bowl team it would be the Ravens, but they drew a really tough opponent today because the Titans don’t allow the other team to touch the ball much on offense as they grind out the clock. I also believe that momentum is huge in the playoffs. The Ravens have not played a meaningful game for three weeks as they rested starters in week 17. It’s hard to crank it back up. Mark Andrews and Mark Ingram are not 100% and that would hurt the passing game. I love everything about Lamar Jackson, but know this one fact. All the flashy QB’s in the history of the NFL typically don’t win super bowls. Your prototypical QB wins in the playoff season. Jackson had an awful playoff debut last year and will have to prove he can play on this stage if we are going to book him as a double digit favorite. The Titans have been excellent at shutting down running QB’s this year. Baltimore would have to strike first in this game to have a chance at covering. This should be a low scoring game and if the Titans have the lead the Ravens won’t get the ball back much. Take Tennessee.

SAN FRANCISCO -7
MINNESOTA @ SAN FRANCISCO | 1/11 | 4:35 PM EST
10:14 AM
San Francisco gets back three key defensive starters this week: end Dee Ford, linebacker Kwon Alexander and strong safety Jaquiski Tartt. The 49ers allowed just 12.7 points per game their first eight games and 26.2 their last eight. On offense, quarterback Jimmy Garappolo had a great year despite a few too many interceptions. He completed 69.1 percent of his passes for 8.4 yards per pass and 27 touchdowns. I have the 49ers rated higher than Minnesota on offense, defense and special teams. Take the 49ers.

3-1 IN LAST 4 MIN ATS PICKS | +191

BALTIMORE -9.5
TENNESSEE @ BALTIMORE | 1/11 | 8:15 PM EST
10:08 AM
All the Ravens have done is win 12 straight games, cover eight of their last nine games and outscored their opponents by 15.6 points per game. That is the third best differential over the past 25 years. Meanwhile Tennessee's offensive line is the worst in the NFL at protecting its quarterbacks. The bottom line is that if Baltimore can stop the Titans from running the football, Tennessee's passing game will suffer. I'll bet on the Ravens' ability to do that.

18-9-1 IN LAST 28 NFL PICKS | +804
3-0 IN LAST 3 TEN ATS PICKS | +300

2-1 IN LAST 3 BAL ATS PICKS | +91

S. DAK. ST. -2
S. DAK. ST. @ PFW | 1/11 | 7:00 PM EST
10:01 AM
The Jackrabbits are playing shorthanded, but they're playing very well due to it. South Dakota State is 6-1 ATS in its last seven games. The Jackrabbits are playing mainly six players, and they just might get back senior point guard Brandon Key for this tilt. Meanwhile Purdue Fort Wayne is 2-4 ATS in its last six. The Mastodons are the home team, but they have very little home court advantage. Take the Jackrabbits.

W. VIRGINIA -3.5
TEXAS TECH @ W. VIRGINIA | 1/11 | 6:00 PM EST
9:53 AM
Bob Huggins' team is the real deal with four different players who can play point guard, giving the Mountaineers great versatility with their pressure defense. That defense ranks third in the country in efficiency. I really don't understand this line as West Virginia has been the better team with only two losses, one at St. John's by two and the other at Kansas in a game the Mountaineers led most of the way. So I'm taking the better team, at home with revenge on its mind from last year. Take West Virginia.

DUQUESNE -7
DUQUESNE @ GEORGE WASH. | 1/11 | 4:00 PM EST
9:46 AM
Keith Drambot has one heck of a team in Duquesne. The Dukes are fourth in the country in 2-point shooting, seventh in free throw percentage and boast a top 40 team in scoring defense. Meanwhile George Washington is 6-9 with its best win against a very average Delaware team. Duquesne is the best team George Washington has played this year. Take the Dukes.

RUTGERS +5.5
RUTGERS @ ILLINOIS | 1/11 | 12:00 PM EST
9:38 AM
These are two very surprising teams that are looking to get back to the NCAA tournament after long droughts. The Illini are coming off a one-point road win at Wisconsin and a dominating win versus Purdue in the game before that. I think hitting this high should lead to a big letdown against Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights are 12-3 but not getting the respect they deserve. They have the 19th best defense in the country in terms of efficiency. I'll take the team with the better defense getting the points.

OVER 144.5
MARQUETTE @ SETON HALL | 1/11 | 4:00 PM EST
9:31 AM
This game will feature two of the best guards in the entire country: Marquette's Marcus Howard versus Seton Hall's Myles Powell. Both teams love to push the pace, and both offenses rank in the top 40 in efficiency. The only two times Marquette faced a team that plays at a pace comparable to Seton Hall's, the Golden Eagles lost 92-75 at Creighton and beat USC on a neutral court 101-79. Seton Hall's last three games have totaled 154, 140 and 140. Take the Over.

UNDER 143.5
PEPPERDINE @ SAN DIEGO | 1/11 | 10:00 PM EST
9:25 AM
Lorenzo Romar's Pepperdine Waves have gone Under five in a row and six of their last seven, including keeping Gonzaga Under in a 75-70 loss. Their defense has been drastically better over their last seven games. Meanwhile San Diego is also 6-1 Under their last seven games. The Toreros offense ranks No. 304 in scoring while their defense ranks No. 196. Their pace is below average, and I expect them to try to shorten the game playing at home. It also doesn't hurt that this game should be very tight late. Take the Under.

PACIFIC +1
SAN FRAN. @ PACIFIC | 1/11 | 7:00 PM EST
10:54 AM
This line is way off, and it's a testament to Pacific being maybe the most undervalued team in the sport. The 14-4 Tigers are a top-four team in the West Coast Conference and play a slow-but-steady pace. Four players are shooting 40 percent or better from beyond the arc. San Francisco is no slouch, but the Dons should be four-point dogs here. Bet Pacific with confidence.

3-1 IN LAST 4 CBB ATS PICKS | +190
OREGON -10
ARIZONA ST. @ OREGON | 1/11 | 10:30 PM EST
10:50 AM
The Ducks got a close one on Thursday night against Arizona, but the Sun Devils aren't nearly as talented. Oregon is 9-3 ATS after a win this season; Arizona State is 2-3 after a loss. Most importantly, the Sun Devils thrive off turnovers, but Oregon is No. 1 in the country in not giving up steals. Ducks take it going away.

3-1 IN LAST 4 CBB ATS PICKS | +190
SAN DIEGO ST -11
BOISE ST. @ SAN DIEGO ST | 1/11 | 10:00 PM EST
10:48 AM
San Diego State giving 11 at home is trustworthy. Boise State has only one road victory this season, and that came in three overtimes against Pacific. The Broncos' lack of 3-point versatility will ultimately doom them here. San Diego State remains undefeated -- comfortably.

3-1 IN LAST 4 CBB ATS PICKS | +190
DUKE -19.5
WAKE FOREST @ DUKE | 1/11 | 8:00 PM EST
10:45 AM
Duke giving 19.5 at home is a big number without Wendell Moore, but the Blue Devils have been outstanding at home this season with the exception of the Stephen F. Austin loss. Wake Forest is 1-3 ATS on the road. Lay the points.

3-1 IN LAST 4 CBB ATS PICKS | +190
3-1-1 IN LAST 5 DUKE ATS PICKS | +189

AUBURN -10.5
GEORGIA @ AUBURN | 1/11 | 12:00 PM EST
10:42 AM
Auburn is the pick, though Georgia likely seems tempting after Auburn won a bit too close at home against Vandy earlier in the week and UGA played tough and impressively in a home loss to Kentucky. This is a prime Auburn spot. The Tigers might even have the best freshman on the floor on this day; Isaac Okoro is tracking toward being a top-20 NBA Draft pick in June, and he's nearly as physically impressive as UGA's Anthony Edwards. Plus, Auburn has a significant experience advantage. Take the Tigers.

3-1 IN LAST 4 CBB ATS PICKS | +190
3-1 IN LAST 4 AUBURN ATS PICKS | +187

UNDER 127.5
TEXAS TECH @ W. VIRGINIA | 1/11 | 6:00 PM EST
10:37 AM
West Virginia is not the "Press Virginia" of recent vintage, and Texas Tech is not the offensive threat you might think it is. In fact, neither team ranks in the top 60 in offensive efficiency. This will be low-scoring and gritty. Take the Under.

PORTLAND +18.5
PORTLAND @ BYU | 1/11 | 9:30 PM EST
11:21 AM
BYU weathered an early-season absence of forward Yoeli Childs, who was suspended then, only to have to cope with another absence by the NBA-bound player (20.5 points per game, 10.1 rebounds per game) because of an injured finger. The Cougars have a quick turnaround from a Thursday setback in overtime without their main man. The Pilots fare well away from home, having covered in nine of the last 12. The the points.

FLORIDA -2.5
FLORIDA @ MISSOURI | 1/11 | 8:30 PM EST
11:16 AM
Missouri center Jeremiah Tilmon (foot) is out, leaving backups to deal with Florida’s offensive focal point, 6-foot-10 Kerry Blackshear (14.6 ppg). The Gators are rocking, with two 100-plus explosions and another with 81 in its last three games. (One was in double overtime.) It’s hard to make a case for any opponent whose top scorer averages 11.3 points. That would be Dru Smith, one of only two Tigers in double figures. Take the Gators.

CALIFORNIA +6.5
WASHINGTON @ CALIFORNIA | 1/11 | 8:00 PM EST
11:13 AM
Washington frittered away a comfortable lead only two days ago against Stanford, owing largely to 21 turnovers, which was a direct consequence to the loss of point guard Quade Green. He was declared academically ineligible. Cal does not launch many 3-pointers but is the fourth most accurate in the Pac-12. With the Huskies allowing double-digit threes the past two games, the Bears can alter their offensive approach to take advantage. Cal is 7-2 straight-up at home. Take the Bears.

BAYLOR @ KANSAS | 1/11 | 1:00 PM EST
11:08 AM
This is not your grandfather’s Kansas team. Renowned for their offense, the Jayhawks are shining on D, with opponents scoring fewer than 60 points in more than half of their games. The ‘Hawks are 10-4 on Unders this season. Baylor is on a similar path, with Unders in five of its last seven games. The same numbers apply to the series. Guard Marcus Garrett, Kansas’ premier defender, is expected to play after an ankle sprain shortened his previous outing. Take the Under.
