OKS has something to prove this year after finishing with a 7-6 record last season. That included going only 3-6 in Big 12 play. The Cowboys though closed on a tear and I believe that late-season momentum gets carried over here (went 4-1 to end the campaign vs. top 25 teams.) That included a 38-33 win over Missouri in the Liberty Bowl. OKS sees Dru Bown transfer over from Hawaii to play QB this season and he’ll lead an offense which averaged 38.4 PPG (overall the Cowboys allowed 32.5.) The Beavers had a terrible 2018/19 season, finishing 2-10 overall, including only 1-8 in conference action. QB Jake Luton is back for the Beavers after completing 1,660 yards, ten TD’s and four iNT’s last year. Overall Oregon State averaged only 26.1 PPG, while allowing 45.7. Considering the way each team ended off last year, I think that the visitors could/should in fact be a much larger favorite in this one. Lay the points.

We’re going with the San Francisco Giants on the ML vs. the Padres in Game 2 of their 4 – game series.
In this matchup we get Padres RH Dinelson Lamet (2-2, 4.30 ERA) vs. Giants LH Madison Bumgarner (8-8, 3.71). The reason the line is so close on this one is because Lamet is riding a seven-start unbeaten streak, even though during that run he’s only registered 2 wins - both on the road. A deeper dive into his numbers sees the Padres sitting at 3-13 in his last 16 starts.
On the other MadBum has posted a 2.95 ERA at home in 2019, when compared to his 4.68 ERA on the road. Then the kicker is the Giants have gone 8-0 in his last eight starts at home so I’m loving the home stats. The PUBLIC is on the Padres in this one, but the Padres are 2-7 in their last 9 vs. the Giants.
