Anytime your body has been compromised by an operation ,disease etc it’s immune system is busy tending to the shortcomings There it has to make a decision to send forces to fight the new thing or stay and keep up the shortcoming so it normally splits it’s forces sends half and keeps half keeping up your heart etc….and doesn’t have a full force sitting at the ready to attack something new as we age we aquire such things like diabetes heart disease etc etc which makes a simple flu or covid virus a lot tougher to fight we can all remember when we were 2o flu might knock us down for a day or 2 bc our system is full of immune waitong to battle anything ……shit take forever to battle as we get over 50
