Sunday comp play is grabbing the points with DePaul as they take on a Seton Hall team that will be happy for a win...any win!

The Pirates have lost 4 in a row both straight up and against the spread, and they are just 2-6 straight up over their last 8 games. True, one of those wins was a double-digit win and cover at DePaul, 86-70, but the Blue Demons have at least been competitive in their most recent efforts.

DePaul has gone 2-0-1 against the spread over their last 3 games, and in this series they sport 5 covers over the last 8 series meetings.

With Hall big-man Angel Delgado dealing with a knee injury that has him listed as questionable, and with the Pirates simply looking for a win, I say the points work with the double-digit dog Demons.

Free play on DePaul.

2* DEPAUL

LARRY NESS

My 1* Free Play is on Cincinnati (4:00 EST).

It’s No. 18 Wichita State at No. 5 Cincinnati on Sunday and in my opinion, all signs point a comfortable cover for the home side.

The Shockers come in off a couple of “cream puffs” at home, smashing UConn, but unable to cover the 13 point spread in the 93-86 win over Temple in their most recent action. Wichita State was led by Darral Willis Jr. with 24 points off the bench in the victory.

The Bearcats won’t be taking anything for granted tonight after their 16-game win streak finally came to an end in a tough 67-62 setback at Houston on Thursday. Despite the setback, Cincinnati still allows just 56.3 PPG this year. Jacob Evans was a bright spot in the losing cause with 16 points.

I’ll point out as well that Wichita State is just 1-4 ATS in its last five road games against teams with a home winning percentage of greater than 60 percent, while Cincinnati is 7-1 ATS in its last eight against teams with a winning SU record and 5-1 ATS in its last six at home.

These teams also meet in the regular season finale, putting added emphasis for the Bearcats to deliver the goods on their home floor this evening.

There’s no reason not to think that Cincinnati won’t make an immediate return to form after its latest loss. Wichita State has looked decent of late, but I think it’ll stumble down the stretch.

Consider the Bearcats in this one.

Good luck…Larry
