ANALYSIS: This spread might look big, and there's some risk taking a double digit number in the post season, but the analytically correct play is to lay the number here. This is the 5 v 12 matchup which means Little Rock was the worst team in the Sun Belt this year while South Alabama only just missed a first round bye. USA took care of business in their lone meeting with Little Rock this season, winning by a 31 point margin and should be able to get past 12 points this afternoon. The Trojans allow the third highest effective FG% in all of D1, I think a blow out is in store. Lay it.

ANALYSIS: Some early action today with the Sun Belt Tournament getting started in Pensacola, Florida. UT Arlington is playing against Louisiana for the first round matchup between the 8 and 9 seeds. I'm going to take the 9 seed in UTA to cover the +3.5 line. I think it's going to be difficult to separate these teams on a neutral floor and getting the full possession and the hook is a good value in post season play. Arlington won both meetings this year already. Grab the points.

The Horned Frogs are 4-0-1 ATS in their last five games and 7-1-1 ATS in their last nine road games. I was expecting this spread to be around five points in favor of Kansas. I love getting double digits with the Horned Frogs in this spot. This game should be tight the whole way and the Horned Frogs will cover the spread.

The Mastodons are a much better team. Kenpom ranks the Mastodons higher in both offensive and defensive efficiency. I am expecting the Mastodons to dominate this game on both sides of the court and cover this spread.

I am expecting the Titans to play very well and cover this spread.

ANALYSIS: Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay have already played each other twice this season, and both had six or more goals scored. Penguins goalie, Tristan Jarry, has been worse than usual in some of his recent appearances. He’ll likely have trouble stopping goals considering TB has scored an average of 4.6 goals per game in their last five. Andrei Vasilevskiy is sharp, but could slip just enough against a Pens teams that is 18-6-3 on the road. Four of the last five Lightning games have gone over, and I expect this one to follow suit.

I am a bit surprised that IPFW isn't over -300 on the moneyline as the Mastadons are clearly the better team and this is at home -- no neutral sites in the Horizon League Tournament yet. The lone meeting between the teams this season was a seven-point IPFW home win on Feb. 12. In addition, the Mastadons closed the season winning nine straight. Quick turnaround for UIC after winning at Milwaukee on Tuesday.

The Vezina candidate is 4-0-0 with a 2.50 GAA and .909 save percentage over the last four games. The teams split two early-season meetings -- the Pens embarrassed the Lightning on Opening Night in Tampa after the championship banner raising. I bet the Bolts players will use that as motivation a bit. Pittsburgh is looking to win the season series against Tampa Bay for the first time since the 2016-17 season.

At full strength, I do think the Cajuns are the better team despite that 0-2 record, but they reportedly will be missing one of the conference's top freshmen and a third-team All-Sun Belt member in Kobe Julien (12.7 ppg, 4.0 rpg). He was hurt in UL's regular-season finale last Friday against Georgia State. Glad I did my homework (not that it often matters in the illogical world of college hoops) because I was going to take Louisiana on the ML here. Now I'm taking the points.

I think that continues today, the Hawkeyes are the better team. Take the extra two points in case it's a close one.

Ultimately, I like the Mastodons to outscore the Flames and cover thanks to their 3-point shooting. Fort Wayne has shot 42.8 percent from deep during its current nine-game win streak; UIC is the worst team in the conference at defending the arc (36.6 percent). Deonte Billups (67 3-pointers), Jarred Godfrey (66) and Bobby Planutis (58) all rank in the Horizon top 10 in made treys. This is also a great matchup for point guard Damian Chong Qui, the Mount St. Mary's transfer. He had 20 points, four assists and three steals in Fort Wayne's 73-66 win over UIC on Feb. 12.

ANALYSIS: This will be my parlay play -- I expect to have another two-way later this evening -- with IPFW for a payout of about +90. Again, I'm not trying to get rich and do silly six-way parlays but earn a solid profit on two teams that SHOULD win. Note that while this is a Patriot League Tournament game, it is a true home game for the Terriers, where they are 10-4. BU did lose by eight at home to Loyola early this season but then went to Loyola and won by 17. Boston had two first-team All-America East members in conference player of the year Sukhmail Mathon and Javante McCoy. Mathon (15.1 ppg, 10.3 rpg) ranks eighth nationally with 16 double-doubles. Loyola won only one of its final seven games and and is 4-12 on the road. Would not shock me for the Greyhounds to cover the spread but it would for them to win.
