Give me Toronto here since even without a crowd it will have a home feel since this game is being played in Toronto and, more importantly, the Leafs are a team that has a ton to prove. They know they need a good showing in this modified playoffs to show they are a serious contender and they know the media will kill them if they don't do well. Look for a super motivated Toronto team here to come out and get this win. Thank you and good luck.

It's a steep price, but I'll ride with Jon Lester to stay hot as the Cubs go for the sweep. Chicago should tee off on Steven Brault, who has a lifetime 8.22 ERA versus the Cubs. The Cubs have hit 10 homers off him in 14 appearances. Lay it.

The Magic have won four straight (dating back to the long hiatus) after Friday's easy victory over Brooklyn, and they've now covered five in a row. They're still not getting a ton of respect from oddsmakers. Orlando's key players did not play a ton of minutes in the blowout, while four of the Kings' five starters played at least 30 minutes. Lay it with the Magic.

The Grizzlies suffered a tough loss in their first game back, falling to the Blazers by five points. On the bright side, Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. both played well and the team is mostly healthy. The same can’t be said for the Spurs, who have ruled out LaMarcus Aldridge (shoulder), Trey Lyles (side) and Bryn Forbes (quadriceps) while also listing Marco Belinelli (foot) as doubtful. All of those injuries have the Grizzlies in a favorable spot to cover.

The Kings suffered a disappointing nine-point loss to the Spurs on Friday despite the Spurs playing without LaMarcus Aldridge (shoulder), Trey Lyles (side) and Bryn Forbes (quadriceps). Things certainly won’t get any easier for them against the Magic, who now have Jonathan Isaac back after the league’s lengthy pause allowed him to heal from a knee injury. Look for the Magic to emerge victorious and cover along the way.

The young Suns played like a team with nothing to lose in their first game back from the shutdown, beating the Wizards by 13. And, as we saw on Friday night against the Rockets, the Mavericks have a tough time closing out games. My model says that Phoenix covers about two-thirds of the time, so you're getting strong value with the Suns at this number.

Full disclosure, I am riding the Rockets. I told you all, they are playing their style of play and they don’t care about the opponent. James Harden is the league's unstoppable offensive player. He treats the NBA like a real-life video game. This is a letdown game for the Bucks.

How did Dallas blow that game to the Rockets? The bubble can be a lonely place after a loss like that. Sitting in your room, no friends, no family around and pondering “how did we lose that game?!” Dallas made 21 treys and lost. The Suns are coming off a win and the swag level is there, for now.

The Trailblazers have life after a win over the Grizzlies. Jusuf Nurkic is healthy and he had 18-9-5 vs Memphis. Who is going to guard him on Boston? Boston isn’t at full strength without Kemba being 100 percent and this game flat out means more to the Trailblazers.

This is just a nightmarish matchup for Portland. Damian Lillard ran roughshod over a young Memphis backcourt on Friday. Now, he's going to get 40 minutes of an angry Marcus Smart. Meanwhile, Jayson Tatum is coming off one of the worst games of his career, but he was defended by Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo in a loss to Milwaukee. The Trail Blazers hardly even have a small forward on the roster. Carmelo Anthony is likely to get that assignment. That isn't going to go well.

The Cubs sit atop the NL Central with a 6-2 record, are pitching well and are tied for the major-league lead with 15 homers. John Lester was superb in his season debut and has dominated the Pirates during his career. He owns a 12-6 lifetime record against Pittsburgh and went 3-0 in four starts last year. The Pirates have dropped three straight contests and Steven Brault has struggled against the Cubs, going 0-2 with an 8.22 ERA and serving up 10 homers in 38 1/3 innings. He also owns a 10.29 ERA in nine career appearances at Wrigley Field. Chicago smashes Pittsburgh in this one.

Clayton Kershaw (back) makes his season debut and, although he will be on a pitch count, the Dodgers' offense should give him plenty of run support. Los Angeles can simply mash as it has one of the deepest lineups in baseball with a solid bench that features a great mix of left- and right-handed hitters. Mookie Betts is heating up, giving the Dodgers yet another hitter that can beat you. The Diamondbacks, meanwhile, rank 13th in the NL with a .199 team batting average and have hit the fewest home runs in the majors (two). It’s no surprise the Dodgers lead the NL in pitching and homers.

The Bucks are going to be a tough matchup for the Rockets for several reasons. Milwaukee leads the league in boards per game and defensive rebounding percentage. Look for the Bucks to limit second-chance points, something Houston's offense thrives on. The Bucks are a much deeper team with a fantastic bench. The Rockets are thin and have had a hard time defending the 3-pointer as well as in the paint.

Justin Turner drove in two runs Saturday with a triple, and this is relevant because the Dodgers are 8-0 as a road favorite of more than 120 after a game in which he had multiple RBIs, winning by an average of six runs. The Diamondbacks struck out nine times and only drew one walk in Saturday’s 11-2 defeat. Arizona is 0-17 in the last game of a series as a 160-plus underdog following a contest in which it drew fewer than two bases on balls. We are on the Dodgers.

The Portland Trailblazers are off an 140-135 overtime win over the Grizzlies in which they trailed by 11 points. Teams in this spot have not lived up to expectations, as clubs are 0-16 ATS as a dog off an overtime win as a favorite in which they trailed by more than eight points and were not a favorite by more than 10 points. The Celtics were outscored by double-digits in the paint in their 119-112 loss to the Bucks on Friday. This has been a positive indicator for them, as they are 26-0 ATS as a rested favorite off a game as a dog in which they did not lose by 18-plus points and were outscored by at least eight points in the paint. Lay the points.

This is going to be a tough series for both teams and I believe goals are going to be at a premium. The Predators have the edge in this series with their experience, but Arizona has a healthy goaltender in Darcy Kuemper, who went 15-8-2 before getting injured. He is going to play a key role for the Coyotes in this series. The Under has cashed in 11 of the last 13 meetings. Nashville always plays tough defense despite Pekka Rinne's struggles in net. Look for a defensive 2-1 kind of game.

Both of these teams have been struggling to score all series and the Indians have only scored two runs in their last 40 innings. Aaron Civale has actually faced the Twins twice, pitching 11 innings and only giving up two earned runs. Tyler Clippard will be opening for Devin Smeltzer, who is 0-2 with a 6.62 ERA in four appearances and three starts. The under has hit in nine of Civale’s eleven starts and there have been just 10 runs combined in the first three games.

Josh James gave up three earned runs in his season debut, but he only made it thru three innings. Shohei Ohtani did not record an out last week while giving up five earned runs. Do not expect him to magically get better, the command is the last thing to come back after TJ surgery. The Angels might still be without Mike Trout and they have the much better bullpen even though their stars haven’t been performing. Take the value in the Astros.

Chris Bassitt pitched well in his season debut only throwing four scoreless innings. However, he gave up 10 runs in 11 IP against the Mariners last season. He is 0-4 with a 4.58 ERA in his career against the Mariners. Kendall Graveman will only be making his second start back from TJ surgery so he won’t have the best command as was displayed in his first game against the Astros. However, the Athletics are struggling to score right now and the Mariners bats are hot.

The Predators have a decision to make at starting goalie for this series, but I think that will just motivate each goalie to play better. They combined for a 2-0 shutout of the Stars in their exhibition game while the Coyotes lost 4-1 to the Knights. Darcy Keumper is most likely to get the start and it would be his playoff debut. The Preds are much deeper and they have the experience advantage, take the value on the Preds.

Rotation #922
Giants -115 over Rangers
Samardzija/Allard
The Rangers have been brutal this year. This is a team that is letting weaker hitting teams knock them around and when they do get a few runners on they will strike out or hit into a double play. There has been nothing solid from this team this year and you would expect this type of play from a team like the Giants, but they have been shockingly impressive to start the year. San Francisco has the pitching advantage and should grab the sweep today. Take the Giants.

Rotation #731
Spurs +4.5 over Grizzlies
The San Antonio Spurs picked up a nice win to start the NBA restart. This is one of the most familiar group of players in regards to playing together for a while. These guys all know each other dating back to at least last season so picking things back up won’t be as hard for them as teams that have shipped guys in and out of the lineup this year. Coach Popovich is still a capable coach when it comes to playoff setting basketball. There are not too many teams that this break helped, but this Spurs are one of them. Memphis has a young coach and as a young team might not be able to close out important games down the stretch. Take the Spurs.
