ANALYSIS: Matthew Boyd has been excellent this season with a 1.86 ERA, but the Athletics are extremely tough versus left-handed pitching. Their .815 OPS against southpaws ranks third in the American League. The A's have won seven straight, including taking the first three games of this series by a combined 18-4 score. I'll lay the reasonable price.

ANALYSIS: Afternoon games are an unusual spot and the Pelicans have been absolutely awful in early afternoon games the past two seasons, going 0-4 SU and ATS, losing by more than 20 points per game. This young team is unlikely to cure its early-game woes here. New Orleans lost in Washington Thursday night, 117-115, in overtime. Zion Williamson scored 21 points in that game but Brandon Ingram led the team with 34 points. The Pelicans are 0-8 ATS (-12.00 ppg) on the road after Zion Williamson was not their high scorer last game.
