The Chicago Cubs (12-11 Overall, 5-7 Away) travel west to take on the Arizona Diamondbacks (15-11, 4-5 Home).
Chicago is coming off a tough home loss to the Dodgers yesterday, 2-1. The Cubs had seven hits, but were unable to generate more than one run.
Today, Chicago hope to score more runs, but must do so with Kyle Hendricks (1-3, 3.54 ERA) on the mound.
Hendricks has faced the Diamondbacks once this season. He pitched seven innings, allowing three hits and no earned runs in Chicago. He held the Arizona lineup to .130 in that start.
Hendricks has pitched well against Arizona. He is 2-1 with a 2.66 ERA in his last three starts against Arizona and 2-0 with a 1.76 ERA against the D-Backs at Chase Field.
Arizona will turn to Robbie Ray (0-1, 3.95 ERA). Ray faced the Cubs at Wrigley last week. He pitched six innings, allowing four hits and one run earning a no decision.
Ray has had success against the Cubs. He is 1-0 with a 1.42 ERA over his last three starts against Chicago. He has held the Cubs lineup to a .148 average in those starts.
He faced the Cubs at home last September and got the 9-0 win. Ray pitched six innings, allowing one hit in that start.
The Cubs are hitting .232 against left hand pitching to start this season.
Both teams are 7-3 over their last 10 games. That includes Arizona losing last weeks three game series at Wrigley, 2-1.
This game will be close, but I like the Diamondbacks at home in W.Scott's free play of the day.

NBA | Warriors vs Clippers

This is a Free play on GSW.
The Golden State Warriors lost Game 5 at home by a score of 129-121. The Clippers hit almost 55 percent from the field, and it's going to be very difficult to replicate that performance here in Game 6. We remember after the Warriors lost Game 2 they came back to LA and layed the smack down. They were up 73-52 at halftime in Game 3, and we should expect a similar response from the champions here in tonight's game. Getting off to a good start will be key here on the road, and they will want to be in full control by halftime.

After LA’s high-scoring victory in Game 5 at home, I’m expecting a much more defensive affair in Game 6.
Key Trends:
- The Warriors have seen the total go under the number in 21 of their last 31 revenging a SU loss vs. an opponent as a favorite of seven points or more.
- GS has seen the total go under in 20 of 29 this season after allowing 115 points or more in its previous outing.
- LA has seen the total go under in seven of its last ten off an upset win as a road dog.
The verdict: The Warriors posted one of the greatest come from behind wins of all time in Game 2. Game 5 saw LA pretty much control the tempo from the outset. The Clippers fell apart in Game 3 after their big win though and a similar outcome could be in the cards here for the Clippers after their series-extending Game 5 victory as well. I believe these offensive minded clubs are now fatigued and I definitely think that the situation and the numbers point to the “under” as the correct move as far as the total is concerned.

On Wednesday night, the Clips fought off elimination, as they posted 129 big points in their 129-121 road shocker. That game landed Over the total. That makes it 3 Overs in the 5 games contested, with 2 of the last 3 in this series in the Over column.
Both teams are on the high-end of the scoring spectrum, as Golden State posts an even 118 points per game while allowing 111.5 points per game against, and Los Angeles scores scores 115.2 points per game, while allowing almost the same at 11.8 points per game.
Series notes show that 5 of the last 7 games played between the teams in the City of Angels have landed Over the total, and the Over have also been the play in 12 of the last 16 overall series meetings between these Western Conference rivals.
This game should feature a sizable amount of trips to the free throw line, as I have a feeling the Clippers will be doing all they can to try and force this series back to Oakland for a 7th and deciding game on Sunday.
Just need both of these teams to be in the vicinity of their season averages, and sprinkle in some free throws made with the clock stopped, and we hit the Over before it is all said and done.

Friday comp play comes from the Emerald City as the Rangers and the Mariners will combine for their second straight Over as their four game weekend set continues.
Texas could only muster a pair of runs last night, but thanks to a pair of touchdowns and a pair of extra-points - that is 14 runs - that Seattle was able to post, last night's first of four sailed well over the posted price.
The Over has been the norm for both teams this week, as the Rangers are now on a 5-1 Over run that includes each of their last 3 games. In their last 10 games pitched, the team ERA is an alarming 6.06. As for the Mariners, 5 of their last 7 overall have landed Over the posted price.
That over 6 Rangers team ERA may not improve all that much tonight with the scuffling Shelby Miller on the mound, as Miller has logged 15-plus innings in 4 starts so far, and has an ERA that is over 7. 7.63 to be exact!
Seattle counters with Yusei Kikuchi who has already turned in 6 starts this season, and sports an ERA of 4.68. Of his 6 starts in the books, 5 of them have ended up playing Over the total!
Series meetings between the teams show a slight Over trend, as 6 of the last 10 since last year between the A.L. West rivals have trended Over, but for the year both teams have been trending towards the Over, as the Rangers are 14-10 Over in their 24 games, while the Mariners are 18-9-1 Over in their 28 games in the books for the season thus far.
I don't see this one ending up as lopsided as yesterday's 14-2 score, but I do see enough runs on the scoreboard to have the teams make it 2 in a row this weekend in the Over column.
