Shooting Woes

After back-to-back nights of poor shooting, the Denver Nuggets try to snap out of their offensive funk as they visit the struggling Houston Rockets on Saturday.
Denver (9-4) has shot below 40 percent from the field its last two games, including a 101-90 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday - ending a six-game winning streak - and a 99-93 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday. |

Playmakers Square Off

Champs on a Roll

The San Antonio Spurs have accomplished a lot in the past two regular seasons, winning a combined 121 games. But they haven't started 11-2.
San Antonio (10-2) will look to win its 11th game in 13 tries as it hosts the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night. The Spurs have started the last two seasons with identical 10-2 records but lost their next game each time. |

Lakers Head to Bean Town

Offseason reports that the Los Angeles Lakers had entered the sweepstakes to acquire Kevin Garnett must have thrilled disgruntled Lakers star Kobe Bryant.
Those rumors fizzled, however, and Garnett landed with the Boston Celtics, sparking a basketball renaissance in Boston and failing to quiet the chaos in Los Angeles. |
